Abstract:
A pushchair is provided with a folding frame comprising front wheels (18) provided at the end portion of a first stationary bar (10) aligned along the centre-line plane, as well as a second movable bar (20), and rear wheels (48) provided at the bottom end portion of two respective bars (40). All four bars extend to converge into a mechanism comprising two pairs of bevel gears (62, 68), which enables both the movable bar (20) and the rear bars (40) to align into a parallel arrangement relative to the stationary bar (10) through solely angular movements. A locking device (200) is provided to prevent the pushchair from being able to fold into any other configuration than the ones corresponding to the configurations taken by the pushchair when the frame is fully open and fully closed.
Abstract:
A stroller (10) includes a stroller frame (100) movable between an in-use configuration and a folded configuration and a seat assembly (50) mounted to the stroller frame. The stroller frame includes right and left front legs (110), right and left fold links (130), and right and left seat support frame members (120) extending between the respective right and left front legs and the respective right and left fold links. The seat assembly includes a seat (52) and a seat support (54) mounted to the right and left seat support frame members such that, as the stroller frame moves from the in-use configuration to the folded configuration, the seat support (54) translates relative to the right and left seat support frame members (120). The stroller frame also can include right and left push arms (154) and right and left rear legs (112). The fold links (130) can be configured to have three pivots, in which case each seat support frame member pivotally connects to the respective fold link at a first pivot (P4), each push arm pivotally connects to the respective fold link at a second pivot (P5), and each rear leg pivotally connects to the fold link at a third pivot.
Abstract:
A stroller system (500) including an expandable base (501) and two frame members is discussed. The stroller system is configured for dual occupancy and provides an expandable cargo area to a user. The first and second seats (504, 505) coupled to their respective frame members (502, 503) may be modular in nature. The second seat (505) may also include a bench seat with optional secondary support structures. The two frame members (502, 503) are configured to fold independently of one another. The mechanical apparatus of the dual occupancy stroller including locking and actuator mechanisms are discussed. Additionally, the mechanism by which the front frame member (502) folds is discussed. The disclosed stroller is capable of simultaneously carrying multiple children with a cargo area that can be extended or retracted and can carry a heavy load. The stroller is able to easily fold to a stowed state.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device and assembly for transporting a child, such as a pram and/or buggy. According to the invention the pram comprises two whee- bearing arms which are pivotally coupled by a coupling housing. One of these arms is pivotally connected to a connector element for coupling to for instance a child' s seat. The pram further comprises a transmission between the connector element and the other arm for the purpose of rotating the connector element during said pivoting of the pram from the folded-open position to the collapsed position.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a stroller or buggy for transporting a sitting child comprising a frame (8,13), vertical supports (9,12) extending upwards above the frame and suitable for supporting a child seat (33), and one or two front wheels (19) and two hind wheels (1) attached via wheel arms (3,16) to the frame (8,13). In accordance with the invention, the frame comprises a first frame (8) and a second frame (13) coupled by a hinge axis around which the first frame and second frame can rotate between a sideways extending position and a folded position and wherein a central frame shaft (16) couples the front wheel (s) (19) to the frame and forms the hinge axis.
Abstract:
A foldable stroller (50) has a frame assembly with a frame fold joint (56) and is reconfigurable between an in-use configuration and a folded configuration. A child support structure (100) is repositionable between a usable state on the frame assembly in the in-use configuration and an unusable state not suitable to support a child on the frame assembly. An interlock mechanism (162, 164, 166, 169) cooperates with the child support structure (100) and is movable between a locked state preventing the frame assembly from being folded from the in-use configuration to the folded configuration and an unlocked state permitting the frame assembly to be folded. With the frame assembly in the in-use configuration and the child support structure (100) on the frame assembly in the usable state, the interlock mechanism is retained in the locked state. The interlock mechanism is unlocked when the child support structure is moved to the unusable state.
Abstract:
A- foldable stroller, chassis has left and right sides, a front end, and a rear end. The chassis has a chassis joint (68) between the left and right sides, a front wheel section (64) extending toward the front end, and a rear wheel section (66) extending toward the rear end and coupled to the front wheel section at the chassis joint. The, front' and rear wheel sections are pivotable away from one another to an in-use configuration and toward one another to a folded configuration. A fold latch mechanism (100) is positioned adjacent the chassis joint between the left and right sides and is reconfigurable between a latched condition securing the chassis in the in-use configuration and an unlatched configuration. A part of the mechanism is carried on the front wheel section and a part of the mechanism is carried on the rear wheel section.
Abstract:
A stroller includes at least one front leg rotationally coupled to a hub; at least one front wheel rotationally coupled to the at least one front leg; at least one rear leg rotationally coupled to the hub; and at least one rear wheel rotationally coupled to the at least one rear leg. The at least one front leg and the at least one rear leg are mechanically coupled such that the at least one front leg and the at least one rear leg rotate synchronously to a first position relative to the hub to configure the stroller in a collapsed position and to a second position relative to the hub to configure the stroller in an open position.
