Abstract:
A textile marker application process includes the steps of contacting a fibrous material with an application liquor containing a marker. The composition of the liquor and the process conditions are selected to produce a uniform distribution of the marker within the fibrous material. The marked textile may be used alone or incorporated in a textile or non-textile product for identification.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A yarn has a central core of untwisted filaments (32) overwrapped with alternating helically wound twisting filaments (30), wherein the helically wound filaments (30) alternate from right to left and from left to right to form a distinct layer of filaments wrapped in a clockwise direction, and a distinct layer of filaments wrapped in a counterclockwise direction.
Abstract:
A filiform article comprises a fiber wrapped, fiber core impregnated with resin. Reinforcing fibers are organized into cores that contain at least one reinforcing fiber, but preferably contains a plurality of fibers. The core is surrounded by a sheath containing a wrapping fiber. The wrapping fiber is preferably wrapped around the core with tension. The core is impregnated with a flowable, hardenable resin preferably after the core is wrapped. The diameter of the filiform article is preferably no more than 1.5 mm. The filiforms may be prepegged according to known practices.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
A fiber composite (8) contains fibers and a resin joining the same. The aim of the invention is to provide the composite with a high strength while reducing resin consumption and with great flexibility with regard to subsequent deformation. To achieve this, threads (1) are used that contain a plurality of individual filaments (2, 3) and a resin, which can be crosslinked under the effect of at least one physical variable and/or one chemical substance, wherein the resin is provided in an uncrosslinked state, but is essentially solvent-free, and holds the individual filaments (2, 3) in the thread (1) together, wherein the individual filaments (2, 3) are arranged unidirectional to each other, and wherein the threads (1) form a composite by bonding the external surfaces thereof to each other on contact surfaces (12a, 12b) via bridges (13a, 13b). The invention further relates to a fiber composite comprising resin in a crosslinked state as well as a method for producing the aforementioned fiber composite.
