A watch comprises a clockwork (1, 11), at least one time display element (2, 3, 12, 13, 14) and at least one time setting element (5, 20). The watch further comprises a mechanism (15-19) arranged for locking the watch and for unlocking the watch in response to setting, by using the at least one time setting element (5, 20), the watch to a specific time. Theft of the watch is discouraged by keeping the specific unlocking time setting secret.

La présente invention concerne un appareil portable (1) étanche comportant un boîtier (2) dans lequel est monté un transducteur électroacoustique (21) séparé d'une cavité d'entrée (11) de façon étanche aux fluides par une membrane déformable (15). Cette cavité d'entrée est ménagée dans le boîtier et en communication directe avec l'extérieur. Le transducteur électroacoustique et la cavité d'entrée sont disposés de manière collatérale de sorte qu'au moins une partie d'épaisseur déterminée du transducteur, respectivement de la cavité sont agencés dans une même tranche (28) du boîtier et un canal acoustique (24) relie le transducteur à la membrane pour transmettre des vibrations acoustiques.

La présente invention concerne une montre téléphone comportant au moins un organe de commande (107) et un boîtier (101) dans lequel est monté un transducteur électroacoustique émetteur (103) en communication avec une cavité acoustique de sortie (117) ménagée dans le boîtier et en communication directe avec l'extérieur via au moins un canal de sortie (109a, 109b). La montre étant caractérisée en ce que le canal de sortie débouche du même côté du boîtier que l'organe de commande par rapport à un axe 6-12 heures de la montre.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a device in the form of a wrist watch which, besides its function as watch, operates currency conversion and computation of monetary values. The device which is compact and permanently available is designed to relieve the wide user public from the constraints of transporting and manipulating a pocket calculator or a currency converting apparatus. The invention is essentially characterised by the following features: an electronic chip (3) which, under the control of a master software, manages the set of the device active elements and in particular the currency conversion and computation functions; its display screen (7) which is provided with a mechanism such that a simple pressure on the part of the user on any point of the screen is enough to activate the conversion and computation functions; its microphone (6) and voice recognition function enable the user to make his processing requests orally; its button (5) which can be switched or pressed at will by the user at any time with a simple movement to change permanently or invert temporarily the current conversion parity; its screen which comprises a luminescent diode (8) displaying visually the processing requests and their results, by day as by night; its button cells (2) which guarantees great power supply self-sufficiency.

A multi-function watch (10) having a watch band (12) comprised of a flexible LCD segment. The watch includes a RF receiver (52) for receiving up to the minute financial or other information and displaying such information on the flexible LCD band segment. A watch portion (14) includes a secondary LCD for displaying the current time of day and other items such as day, month and year information. The watch (10) further performs the function of a pager for receiving messages and displaying same on one or the other of the two LCD displays. The watch is extremely lightweight and the flexible LCD band segment can be made longer than necessary such that it can be wrapped around the wearer's wrist several times and easily unbuckled when it is desired to view the full length of the flexible LCD segment.
