Abstract:
The invention concerns a support structure characterised in that it comprises at least: a shaft (1) whereof the two ends are designed to be urged to rest on two fixed elements, one of which may be the ground and the other, a fixed object located above the ground; two series of steps (M1, M'1-2, M'2-M3, M'3) fixed on the shaft, on either side thereof respectively; and a ramp (7), integral with the shaft (1) extending vertically with respect thereto, at a distance from the steps (M1, M'1-M2, M'2-M3, M'3) less than the average length of a leg, such that a user can move on the steps (M1, M'1-M2, M'2-M3, M'3) by striding over the ramp (7). Said structure enables the user to stand on the steps with greater stability while keeping his hands free.
Abstract:
Abstract:
An agility ladder has a plurality of rungs including first and second rungs. A left link assembly has ends pivotally attached to left ends of the first and second rungs, and a right link assembly has ends pivotally attached to right ends of the first and second rungs. The left and right link assemblies each include first and second links having equal lengths, with the first and second links joined at a link pivot joint which allows the first and second links to form an angle between them of less than 180 degrees.
Abstract:
Ladders, ladder components and related methods are provided. In some embodiments, adjustable stepladders are provided which include locking mechanisms that enable height adjustment of the ladder through application of a force towards the rails of the ladder. In other embodiments, spreader mechanisms are provided with cross bracing located and configured to provide additional stability to the ladder while also incorporating a handle that enables efficient collapsing of the ladder while reducing the potential of pinching ones hands or fingers. In another embodiment, a device is provided for selective coupling with the ladder that includes a support or safety rail and an adjustable tray. The device may be coupled with the ladder in a number of different positions including a stowed position. In another embodiment, a hinge assembly is provided having a magnetic component configured to be magnetically coupled with and temporarily store an object on the ladder.
Abstract:
A ladder including a sound system comprising a at least one pair of generally parallel legs, a plurality of steps extending between said pair of legs, and a sound system mounted between said pair of legs near the top thereof, the sound system including a media player, and at least one speaker operably connected thereto.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A modular ladder comprises a base having a back end and a front end. A vertical support is attachable to the back end of the base. The ladder also includes a stair section assembly comprising a plurality of steps. The stair section assembly has a front end and a back end. The front end of the stair section assembly is attachable to the front end of the base. The back end of the stair section assembly is attachable to the vertical support. The stair section assembly comprises a separate top step, whereby the top step is capable of being attached to the stair section and whereby the attachable nature of separate top step facilitates storing the ladder in a compact container which is smaller than the stair section and top step when placed in an assembled condition. A method of storing the ladder in a compact container is also disclosed.
Abstract:
A gate (36) hingedly connected to a staircase (34). The gate hinge (142) is blow-molded integrally with the gate body (36). A mounting post has on one portion a hinge pin (132) for receiving the gate hinge (142), and the other portion has a pair of parallel resilient sheets (152, 154) for receiving an edge portion of the staircase. The two staircases (34) are attached back-to-back by vertical flanges (76) each of which is offset from a vertical center plane (78) of the respective back wall portion (38) and has a vertical surface which is co-planar with the vertical center plane. The corners (254) of the staircase are individually height adjustable by internally threaded portions (220) which receive threaded portions (302) which receive threaded rods (232). The internal threads are formed as part of the staircase or other article is formed as part of the blow-molding process.
