Abstract:
High resolution output drivers having a relatively small number of sub-driver branches or slices each having nominal impedances substantially larger than a quantization step and that incrementally differ from one another by an impedance step substantially smaller than a quantization step. In one implementation, such "differential" or "non¬ uniform" sub-driver slices implement respective elements of an n choose k equalizer, with each such differential sub-driver slice being implemented by a uniform-element impedance calibration DAC. In another implementation, each component of a uniform-slice equalizer is implemented by a differential-slice impedance calibration DAC, and in yet another implementation, each component of a differential-slice equalizer is implemented by a differential-slice impedance calibration DAC. In an additional set of implementations, equalization and impedance calibration functions are implemented bilaterally in respective parallel sets of driver branches, rather than in the nested "DAC within a DAC" arrangement of the hierarchical implementations. Through such bilateral arrangement, multiplication of the equalizer and calibrator quantizations is avoided, thereby lowering the total number of sub-driver slices required to meet the specified ranges and resolutions.
Abstract:
A composition for forming a prism layer and a prism film manufactured using the same. The composition for forming a prism layer includes a UV-curable monomer A, including a fluorene derivative diacrylate monomer represented by Formula 1 or 2; a UV-curable monomer B, including at least one acrylate monomer; a photoinitiator; and an additive, and thus is excellent in surface strength, adhesion to a substrate film and anti-yellowing properties, with a viscosity suitable for formation of the prism layer.
Abstract:
A communication channel includes a first component having a transmitter coupled to a normal signal source, and a second component having a receiver coupled to a normal signal destination. A communication link couples the first and second components. Calibration logic provides for setting an operation value for a parameter of the communication channel, such as by executing an exhaustive calibration sequence at initialization of the link. A tracking circuit, including a monitoring function, tracks drift in the parameter by monitoring a feedback signal that has a characteristic that correlates with drift in the communication channel, and updates, or indicates the need for updating of, the operation value of the parameter in response to the monitoring function.
Abstract:
A method for manipulating a robot, an electronic device and computer readable storage medium for calibrating a robot. The method comprises: obtaining a first set of data related to at least one of position and orientation of at least three calibration objects (202), the at least three calibration objects being non-collinear to each other in an object coordinate system when a target object is in a first state, and the at least three calibration objects being in a fixed relation to the target object; determining a second set of data related to at least one of position and orientation of the at least three calibration objects when the target object is in a second state different from the first state (204); determining a transformation relationship between the first set of data and the second set of data (206); determining a calibrated object coordinate system based on the object coordinate system and the transformation relationship (208); and controlling the robot to process the target object in a predetermined way under the calibrated object coordinate system (210). In this way, the robot program can be simply adjusted to adapt the changes of the position and/or orientation of the target objects.

Disclosed herein is a method of manufacturing a prism sheet, comprising the steps of: applying a gel-type transparent resin layer onto one side of a transparent resin substrate; forming a prism structure on the gel-type transparent resin layer; curing the gel-type transparent resin layer provided with the prism structure; providing two of the transparent resin substrates having a prism structure; forming an adhesive layer having a predetermined thickness on one side of any one of the two transparent resin substrates, the one side not having been provided with the prism structure; pressing the two transparent resin substrates such that a part of the prism structure formed on the one transparent resin substrate penetrates the adhesive layer formed on the other transparent resin substrate; and curing the adhesive layer.
Abstract:
A multi-phase partial response equalizer is disclosed. The equalizer includes receiver circuitry to receive a data symbol over N bit intervals and to generate N sets of samples in response to N clock signals having different phases. A first storage stage is provided, including storage elements to store the sets of samples during a common clock interval. First and second selection circuits are respectively coupled to an input and an output of the first storage stage. An output storage stage is coupled to the second selection circuit to store an output sample. The first and second selection circuits, over multiple clock intervals, cooperatively select the output sample from one of the sets of samples based on a most recent previous output sample.

Abstract:
A single-ended signaling system in which transmitted and returned signal currents are enabled to flow substantially parallel to one another and thereby maintain a substantially uniform impedance along the length of a single-ended signal conductor. A reference plane is disposed substantially parallel to a single-ended signaling conductor and coupled to the signaling conductor within a signal-receiving IC and to signaling supply voltage nodes within a signal-transmitting IC. By this arrangement, an signal current flowing to or from the receiving IC via the signaling conductor is conducted to the reference plane, thereby enabling a signal- return current to flow back to or back from the transmitting IC along a single path that is substantially parallel to the signal conductor.

Embodiments of an apparatus are described. An interface circuit in this apparatus receives or transmits digital signals on a bus and is configured to alternatively operate as either a data-bus interface circuit or a control-bus interface circuit in dependence upon a mode setting stored in a register. For example, the interface circuit may be pre-configured to interpret a line of an external bus as either a data line or a control line in accordance with the stored mode setting. Moreover, the stored mode setting may be dynamically configured (e.g., reprogrammed) during operation of the interface circuit so that subsequent digital signals are subsequently handled in accordance with a new mode setting.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a prism protection sheet, which is an optical sheet to be placed on a surface for forming prisms, corresponding to a light exit surface of a prism sheet, and a backlight unit assembly including the same. In the prism protection sheet, protection layers are formed on both surfaces of a substrate film using a composition solution containing light-diffusing particles and a binder, in which the protection layer in contact with the prisms has higher haze than that of the surface protection layer, thereby further increasing the light-scattering properties of the protection layer in contact with the prisms, leading to a higher contrast ratio and a widened view angle. The prism protection sheet is effectively used to construct an assembly of a backlight unit for LCDS, such as LCD monitors, notebook computers, TVs, PDAs, word processors, mobile phones, and games, requiring a wide view angle and a high contrast ratio while maintaining appropriate brightness, and the backlight unit assembly includes such a prism protection sheet.
