Abstract:
A messaging system comprises SMS router (A) and SMSC (B) nodes for routing of messages. The nodes have overlapping responsibilities for message transfer, and hand over coordination information elements to each other and automatically process the elements to perform message operations in a co-ordinated manner. The information elements may include a correlation identifier which uniquely identifies a message which is intended to be passed on to another node. Other examples are a time of a last delivery attempt, a number of charging units, validation status, delivery error data, prepaid transaction identifiers, or keys that correlate charging records of multiple nodes.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention provides a method of encoding a binary data message for transmission over a data network. The method comprises allocating consecutive six bit sequences from the binary data message to consecutive respective bytes of an encoded data message; adding a predetermined bias value to some or all of the byte values of the encoded data message; and replacing respective selected data byte values in the encoded data message with one or more corresponding replacement data byte values. The invention further provides a method that comprises forming two or more message fragments from the binary message, each message fragment comprising respective bit sequences of the binary message; encoding each message fragment by the method outlined above to form two or more encoded message fragments; and adding a header to each encoded message fragment. The invention further provides an encoding engine for encoding a binary data message for transmission over a data network.
Abstract:
A method and device for transmitting at least one short messaging service message to at least one wireless device are disclosed. The method comprises receiving at least one short message service message request associated with a short message service message. The short message service message is destined for reception by a wireless device (106). Prior to receiving the request, a short message service center (114) determines if a wireless device (106) is registered with a registrar (210) associated with a session initiation protocol network for communicating over a packet data network (102). The short message service message is transmitted to the wireless device (106) through the session initiation protocol network communicating over the packet data network (102) in response to the request and with the determination that the wireless device (106) is registered with the registrar (210).
Abstract:
A user feedback generation and management capability, operating possibly within a Value-Added Service Provider, provides key feedback (e.g., information, updates, etc.) to a Mobile Subscriber (MS) during, for example, the MS' receipt of rich content on the MS' Wireless Device (WD). The feedback may be conveyed to a MS' WD through, possibly inter alia, one or more Short Message Service messages. Such feedback may, possibly inter alia, provide details as to why certain content might not be received, suggest one or more alternative content delivery means, etc. and thus serve to obviate what would otherwise be (1) a frustrating, disappointing, etc. user experience for the MS and (2) increased customer service costs for the different content and service providers.
Abstract:
The method, message server and the telecommunications network allow to convey messages, particularly short messages, originating in a mobile telecommunications network such as the GSM system and terminating at a recipient application or a related service in an IP network not using the standards of said mobile telecommunications network. The inventive telecommunications network comprises a message server (WAMS) through which messages arriving at a first service centre (SC2) can be routed to a second service centre (SC1) which is connected to the recipient application or the related service. According to the inventive method a virtual mobile station number is established as the address for the recipient application, to which the entire community of short message mobile stations MS can originate messages as it would originate them towards a real mobile station MS.
Abstract:
System for transmitting at least one instantaneous message to a least one terminal that is not compatible with said instantaneous messaging. According to the invention, said communication system comprises at least one first terminal (10, 10', 10') compatible with said instantaneous messaging, at least one second terminal (20, 20', 20') that is not compatible with said instantaneous messaging and is compatible with at least one short message, at least one instantaneous messaging server (100) configured with at least one means for managing said instantaneous messaging for said second terminal (20, 20', 20'), and at least one short-message centre (200) configured with at least one means for managing short messages originating from said instantaneous messaging server (100). Application in the field of the transmitting of an instantaneous message to a terminal (20, 20', 20'), which is not equipped or is not compatible with an instantaneous messaging making it possible to receive said message transmitted.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for handling messaging service message adaptation. An original message is received from an originating communication device, the original message based on a wireless communication message protocol, the original message being of a first message type. The original message is modified according to preferences of a message recipient communication device to generate a second message of a second message type. The second message is sent to the message recipient communication device. The original message is sent to an alternate message recipient based on the original message being modified.
Abstract:
A method for message routing of multimedia messaging service includes, that after a multimedia messaging service center in the transmitting side has received a message submitting from a terminal in the receiving side, the multimedia messaging service center acquires the international mobile subscriber identification IMSI of the terminal in receiving side through a home location register in the system; the multimedia messaging service center in the transmitting side acquires the multimedia messaging service center, that the terminal in the receiving side belongs to, through the IMSI of the terminal in receiving side; and sends the multimedia message submitting from the terminal in the receiving side to the terminal in receiving side through the multimedia messaging service center, that the terminal in the receiving side belongs to. And a system for message routing of multimedia messaging service includes a multimedia messaging service center, a home location register and a signaling gateway. With the present invention, the routing message of users could be acquired accurately, and the cost could be reduced.
Abstract:
The present publication discloses a method and system for sending messages in a telecommunications network (1, 2, 6, 11, 12), in which method digital messages (40) which contain information on the desired reply address (32) are mass sent (3), and messages, which are sent on the basis of the reply-address information (32) are received (10). According to the invention, the reply-address information of each mass-sent message (40) is converted (3) to correspond to a predefined dialogue, in which the stage of the dialogue defines unequivocally the reply-address information (32), so that the transmission and reception of the messages are implemented in different parts of the telecommunications system (1, 2, 6, 11, 12).
