Abstract:
An Internet telephony registry (190) comprises a server (140) and an associated data store (160). Routing and/or policy data associated with telephone number strings are stored in the data store (160) in a tree data structure (240) and a data index map (230). The tree data structure (240) comprises parent nodes and leaf nodes and each parent node of the tree data structure (240) has ten child nodes. The tree data structure (240) stores an index associated with each telephone number string and the data index map stores routing and/or policy attributes (233) represented by the indices (232).
Abstract:
The subject matter described herein includes methods, systems, and computer readable media for providing foreign routing address information to a telecommunications network gateway. According to one aspect, the method includes, at a call signaling message routing node in a first telecommunications network, intercepting a call setup message that includes a called party number identifier and is directed towards a network gateway connected to at least one foreign telecommunications network. The method also includes accessing a foreign routing information database using an ENUM formatted query message to obtain foreign routing address information associated with the at least one foreign telecommunications network, modifying the call setup message to include the address information, and routing the modified call setup message towards the network gateway.
Abstract:
Alarm panels are assigned to monitoring servers at a monitoring station by an allocation server. Each panel obtains the data network address of its assigned monitoring server by contacting the allocation server, upon installation/configuration. The provided data network address is stored at the panel for later use. This allows the allocation server to fairly and flexibly distribute monitoring responsibility for the many panels across multiple monitoring servers.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for routing a request for setting up a call transmitted by a calling user to a called user via a communication network, the method including, after a routing device belonging to the communication network receives the call request: a. a phase of determining a dependency relation between routing data relating to the called user and a representative characteristic of the calling user; b. a step of transmitting a request for routing data relating to the calling user to a translation database including routing data in the communication network; c. a phase of receiving routing data relating to the calling user.DRAWING:
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and computer readable media for location-sensitive number translation in a telecommunications network are disclosed. According to one aspect, the subject matter described herein includes a method for providing location-sensitive called-party number translation in a telecommunications network. The method includes, at a signaling node that includes at least one processor: receiving a first signaling message that includes a called party number; determining proximity information associated with the calling party; performing a location-sensitive called party number translation based on the proximity information associated with the calling party; and sending the first signaling message or a second signaling message, the sent message including the translated called party number.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a system and a method for operating identifier management (AB 1, AB 2) in which at least one user subscriber number and a plurality of identifiers and/or pointers to identifiers can be stored, which identify the user within a communications service of a provider and which can be assigned to the subscriber number, an inquiry being made to the identifier management with transfer of the subscriber number as a parameter and the identifier management checking whether the subscriber number is assigned one identifier or several identifiers, and the identifier or identifiers being returned as a response when there is assignment.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a system for enabling the delivery of a dispatch in a postal operator's messaging network, wherein the applied receiver's address is a receiver-specifying virtual address. The system is adapted to signal the virtual address to a first database carrier and to return, in response to signaling, an operator's server address relevant to the virtual address. In addition, the system is adapted to send the dispatch to said operator's server address, as well to use a delivery address, which matches said virtual address on a second database carrier, for enabling a delivery of the dispatch in a postal operator's messaging network.
Abstract:
A user with a terminal 3 residing in a Circuit Switched (CS) telecommunication network 1 calls a party having a terminal 10 residing at a Packet Switched (PS) telecommunication network 2, the CS 1 and PS 2 networks connected to each other by gateway entity 8. The party to be called at the PS network 2 is addressed by means of a Session Initiation Protocol Universal Resource Identifier (SIP-URI). The call setup is performed in a two step process. In a first step, the terminal 3 sends a the SIP-URI in a message together with the address of this terminal 3 to a network entity 13 which stores said message. In a second step, the terminal 3 calls the network entity 13, wherein the network entity 13 selects the stored SIP-URI and resolves the SIP-URI into an address of the terminal 10 at the PS network and instructs the gateway entity 8 to connect the calling terminal 3 to the terminal 10.
