Abstract:
A method and apparatus is provided for annotating video content with metadata generated using speech recognition technology. The method begins by rendering video content on a display device. A segment of speech is received from a user such that the speech segment annotates a portion of the video content currently being rendered. The speech segment is converted to a text-segment and the text-segment is associated with the rendered portion of the video content. The text segment is stored in a selectively retrievable manner so that it is associated with the rendered portion of the video content.
Abstract:
Portable devices configured to be worn as a belt buckle are disclosed herein. The portable device includes a housing, a first connector attached to the housing and adapted to slideably receive a belt, and a second connector attached to the housing and adapted to secure the housing to the belt.
Abstract:
Embodiments of methods and systems for controlling access to information stored on memory or data storage devices are disclosed. In various embodiments, methods of retrieving information from a data storage device previously deactivated by modification or degradation of at least a portion of the data storage device are disclosed.
Abstract:
A storage (100) comprising a smart information processing section (160b) for diagnosing the storage (100) periodically, and a magnetic disc (110) and a storage section (180) for storing diagnosis information, i.e. the results of diagnosis. Upon receiving a request for the diagnosis information from a host computer, the smart information processing section (160b) judges whether the magnetic disc (110) is in rest state (standby state) or not. If it is in rest state, the diagnosis information is acquired from the storage section (180) and informed to the host computer.
Abstract:
Disclosed are compositions comprising at least one [benzo[4,5]imidazo(heterocycle)] compound, said [benzo[4,5]imidazo(heterocycle)] compound selected from the group consisting of structures I and II,wherein R I and R 2 are independently selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, electron withdrawing group, organic group, divalent 1,2cycloalkylidene group, or combinations thereof, "q" is independently an integer from 1 - 4, L is a linking group, and "r" is independently 0 or 1; said at least one [benzo[4,5]imidazo(heterocycle)] compound being present at a concentration sufficient to cause said composition to exhibit upon exposure to an excitation radiation having a wavelength of from about 330 nanometers to about 390 nanometers, a maximum fluorescence emission wavelength of greater than or equal to about 470 nanometers; and a Stokes shift of greater than or equal to about 80 nanometers; wherein the wavelengths are measured in bisphenol A polycarbonate matrix.
