    Abstract: Compositions having durable antimicrobial activity are disclosed herein. The durable antimicrobial compositions include a carbonate/bicarbonate salt of a quaternary ammonium cation, an organic acid, hydrogen peroxide, a surfactant, and a cationic polymer. The cationic polymer includes either a (3-acrylamidopropyl)trimethylammonium chloride monomer or a [2-(acrylolyoxy)ethyl]trimethylammonium chloride monomer. The cationic polymer also includes another monomer selected from a polar, water-soluble monomer, a hydrophobic, silicone-containing monomer or mixtures of both types of monomers in combination with one of the trimethylammonium chloride monomers. The surfactant is selected from cationic surfactants, non-ionic surfactants, zwitterionic surfactants, and combinations thereof.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions having durable antimicrobial activity. The compositions include a carbonate/bicarbonate salt of a quaternary ammonium cation, an organic acid, hydrogen peroxide and a polymer.     Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to personal care compositions and personal care products. More particularly, the disclosure relates to personal care compositions and personal care products that impart perceivable aesthetic benefits of increased softness, quietness and drapability to the skin or hair of a user. To achieve the perceivable aesthetic benefit, a protonated skin aesthetic agent selected from fatty acids, fatty alcohols, fatty acid derivatives, fatty alcohol derivatives, and/or combinations thereof, may be incorporated into the personal care compositions and personal care products. To produce the liquid composition, a deprotonated skin aesthetic agent is first provided. The deprotonated skin aesthetic agent is added to an aqueous liquid solution. The aqueous liquid solution is then acidified with an acidifying agent to protonate the deprotonated skin aesthetic agent. Finally, the aqueous liquid solution is incorporated onto a wipe substrate.

    Abstract: A disinfectant wet wipe that contains a germicidal solution and a nonwoven web material is provided. The germicidal solution includes a peracid and peroxide, which can act synergistically together to be efficacious against pathogens when exposed thereto. To stabilize the solution over a period of time (e.g., during storage), a variety of aspects of the wipe are selectively controlled in accordance with the present invention. For example, the nonwoven web material used in the wipe is formed from a synthetic polymer and is relatively hydrophobic in nature. Without intending to be limited by theory, it is believed that such materials possess a lower reduction potential for peroxides/peracids than cellulosic-based materials. In this manner, significant degradation of the peroxide or peracid contained in the germicidal solution is limited. To improve the wettability of the nonwoven web material, one or more surfactants are also employed in the germicidal solution. Besides improving wettability, the present inventors have surprisingly discovered that certain surfactants may also improve the stability of the solution.
