Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently facilitating acknowledgment (ACK) or negative acknowledgment (NACK) feedback from a user equipment (UE) for a set of transport blocks in one or more multicast transmissions from a base station. The UE may determine control channel resources for transmitting the ACK/NACK feedback, and each respective control channel resource may correspond to a distinct subset of the set of transport blocks. Once the UE determines a subset of transport blocks that the UE failed to decode (such as at least one transport block), the UE may determine a respective control channel resource that corresponds to the at least one transport block that the UE failed to decode. The UE may transmit ACK/NACK feedback on the respective control channel resource, which, in some examples, may indicate that the UE failed to decode the subset of transport blocks.

Abstract: Transmit and receive wireless communication devices configured to independently determine the same transport block size (TBS) for use with sidelink communications. In an illustrative example, a transmitting device includes a transceiver; a memory; and a processor, with the processor configured to generate or obtain a Physical Sidelink Feedback Channel (PSFCH) overhead indicator indicating whether PSFCH overhead is used in determining the TBS. The processor also determines a number of demodulation reference signal (DMRS) resource elements (REs) associated with DMRS overhead for use in the TBS determination. The processor determines the TBS based on the number of DMRS REs and on the PSFCH overhead indicator, and then transmits signals to a receiving device using sidelink wireless communication that include a PSFCH overhead indicator. The signals are transmitted according to the determined TBS. The PSFCH overhead indicator indicates whether PSFCH overhead is to be used by the receiving device for TBS determination.

The processor (605) determines (805) a minimum time duration between a first resource for HARQ transmission of the transport block ("TB") and a second resource for HARQ transmission of the TB. Here, the minimum time duration comprises a sum of: a first time to receive HARQ feedback, a second time to determine whether to perform retransmissions of the TB, and a third time to retransmit the TB. The processor (605) selects (810) a retransmission mode based on the minimum time duration and selects (815) sidelink resources for retransmission of the TB based on the selected retransmission mode.

Abstract: Described is a method and device for processing a signal received at an uplink control information (UCI) receiver in a wireless communication system. The method comprises processing a signal received on an uplink (UL) at said UCI receiver to transform said received signal into a likelihood calculation of possible transmitted codewords (θ1... θi... θN). The likelihood calculation of possible transmitted codewords (θ1... θi... θN) may comprise a multi-dimensional discrete Fourier transform (DFT) (θ1... θi... θN) of said received signal. The multi-dimensional may be formed as a Hadamard Transform. The method includes determining a maximum magnitude θmax value from said likelihood calculation of possible transmitted codewords (θ1... θi... θN) and then comparing said θmax value to a selected, calculated or predetermined scaled threshold c.τ where τ is a threshold and c is a scaling factor for the threshold τ. The comparison is such that, where θmax > c.τ, it is determined that the signal received on the UL at said UCI receiver comprises a linear block encoded signal. In some cases, the scaling factor c may be omitted.

Abstract: A UE may determine that two or more resources on two or more beams from a base station have phase continuity. The UE may determine, based on the two or more resources on the two or more beams having the phase continuity, a joint channel information associated with the two or more beams using individual measurements respectively corresponding to the two or more beams. The UE may then transmit, to the base station, a group-based beam report including the joint channel information. The base station may provide the UE with an indication that the two or more resources on the two or more beams from the base station have phase continuity. The base station may receive the group-based beam report from the UE based on the indication, and the base station may configure communication with the UE on a joint channel based on the group-based beam report.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided to support accurate CSI report over Sidelink in mobile communication system. In one novel aspect, the TX UE sets up the restriction of CSI report via initiation of a prohibit timer. If a CSI report is triggered, but the prohibit timer is running, then the CSI report keeps pending and UE does not generate the MAC CE for transmission to Physical layer. The restriction of CSI report is to avoid out of date and/or out of order delivery of CSI report.
