Abstract:
A device (10) and method for clamping or otherwise securing an esophagus between the crop and certain internal organs, including the viscera, and substantially simultaneously cutting or otherwise separating, or weakening for subsequent predictable separation, the esophagus at or near the clamped location, thereby avoiding pulling apart the crop and the resulting contamination of the carcass.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for processing a carcass part of slaughtered poultry, which carcass part at least comprises a part of the rib cage, at least a part of the back and at least a part of the meat that is naturally present on the rib cage and the back, which meat comprises at least a part of the breast fillet and a part of the back meat. The method according to the invention comprises the following steps: holding the carcass part, separating the back meat and the breast fillet by making an incision through the meat at least to the bone parts of the carcass part, which incision extends substantially along the contour of the breast fillet in the transition area between the back meat and the breast fillet, detaching the breast fillet from the bone parts of the carcass part.
Abstract:
Automatic bone removal processing equipment for the upper half of a chicken meat slaughtered body capable of reducing the number of processing steps, switching a control system from an individual control system by a hydraulic actuator to an integrated control system by a cam, and increasing a yielding, comprising a main tact feed (11), a group of eight sets of stations, and a cam mechanism (14), the main tact feed (11) further comprising a rotating disk (12) performing an intermittent single step motion in increments of 45°through a lower drive part and eight cones (13) opposedly disposed along the peripheral part of the disk at intervals of 45°facing toward the radial outside of the disk.
Abstract:
A device for processing a slaughter product comprises a conveyor which can move along a path and to which a first body, which can rotate about a first axis, is connected. A second body, which can rotate about a second axis, is connected to the first body. First actuating means set various first angular positions of the first body with respect to the first axis, while second actuating means set various second angular positions of the second body with repect to the second axis. Locking means fix the first and/or second angular position. Slaughter product fixing means connect a breast portion of the slaughter product to the second body.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to integrated processing and information handling method for poultry items. As the poultry items are conveyed they are assigned to a processing station where they are processed and thereafter assigned to a predetermined collecting bins, which is connected to a computer system. The information related to the number, the weight and the quality of poultry segments are registered and also the processing time. This information is important not only for the operators but also for the control and management where the status of each processing line can be monitored and refined.
Abstract:
Poultry feces removal apparatuses and methods for removing the substantial majority of feces from a bird's intestines while avoiding contact between the feces and the bird's skin. The apparatus includes a clasping device that is configured for supporting the bird laterally and for applying squeezing forces to opposite sides of the bird. The clasping device is configured for rotation between a first position, in which the bird is in a substantially vertical position, and a second position, in which the bird is in a substantially horizontal position. The apparatus further includes a compression assembly that is configured for forcing feces out of the bird by exerting a compressive force on an exterior surface of the bird while the clasping device is squeezing the bird and while the clasping device is in the second position. This compression assembly preferably includes compression members that move in tandem with the bird and the clasping device as the bird moves through an automated processing system.

Abstract:
In a method and device for opening a blood vessel (32, 34) in the neck of a pre-positioned slaughter animal (2), a blood vessel is opened as a result of at least one cutting means (44) being moved into the neck from one side of the neck towards the opposite side of the neck, the blood vessel being located in the path of the cutting means. The cutting means is an elongate blade with is moved in its longitudinal direction and is provided with a sharp, inclined front side. Before the blood vessel is opened, the distance between the trachea (28) and the blood vessel is increased in an area of the opening.
