    摘要: Systems and associated methods for repairing first and second bone fragments include a bone compression device 10 characterized by an elongated fastener 16 and an anchor 26. The fastener 16 includes an externally-threaded shank 18, an enlarged head 20, and a bore 24 extending through both. The anchor 26 includes an internally-threaded bore 28 configured to receive the threaded shank 18 of the fastener 16 at a first end of the anchor 26, and an enlarged shoulder 30 at a second end. The fastener 16 inserts fittedly into a first bore 25 formed in the first and second bone fragments, with the head 20 engaging a rim 27 of the first bore 25. The anchor 26 inserts fittedly into a second bore 29 formed in the second bone fragment, the anchor shoulder 30 engaging a rim 31 of the second bore 29. During compression of the bone segments, a small space 74 is maintained between the second end of the anchor 26 and an intersection of the first bore 25 and the second bore 29.
