Abstract:
A foldable stroller (10) is provided for transporting a child. The stroller (10) has a seat unit (12) including a rigid panel-like seat bottom (14) and back (16) joined together with a collapsible frame assembly (24). A control hub (40) is provided to enable a user to release the back (16) and then move the back (16) with one hand from its normal upright position forwardly toward the seat bottom (14) to collapse the seat unit (12) and frame (24) into a compact folded stroller (10).
Abstract:
A stroller having a central hub system that is reversible and foldable is provided. In one example, support members of the stroller chassis (e.g., members supporting the front wheels, back wheels, handle bar(s), and child seating surface) extend from the central hub system and are selectively rotatable there around. In some examples, the central hub system allows a user to collapse or fold the stroller from a first operational position (e.g., suitable for supporting a child) to a second collapsed position (e.g., where the support members rotate around the central hub system together to a more compact position relative to the operational position). In some examples, the collapsed position may be achieved in a single step (e.g., motion), and by one hand, of the user. The central hub system may also allow for reversing the handlebar to support the child in either a forward or rear facing configuration.
Abstract:
A collapsible chassis (1) for strollers comprising a base frame (2) that supports at least one front post (2a) and at least one rear post (2b) with wheel assemblies (3a, 3b), the base frame (2) supporting further at least one handle tube (4). An actuation element (20) is supported by the base frame (2) and can be actuated by the user to move the chassis (1) from the open condition to the closed condition. The actuation element (20) being movable with respect to the handle tube (4) and with respect to the movable post and being connected by way of first kinematic connection means (30) to the movable post and by way of second kinematic connection means (40) to the handle tube (4). The actuation of the actuation element (20) causing the rotation of the movable post and of the handle tube (4). Third kinematic connection means (50) being provided which comprise articulation means (6) adapted to cause a motion of mutual approach in a transverse direction of the two rear posts (2b).
Abstract:
Strollers are described that may be used as single strollers or may be reversely connected together to form a double stroller. Strollers may comprise complementary connectors to be reversibly connected two single strollers in a side-by-side configuration with the rear wheels of the single strollers are interlocked to reduce the overall width of the double stroller. Further, single strollers may comprise complementary connectors to be reversibly connected two single strollers in a train configuration with the front wheels of the single strollers interlocked to reduce the overall length of the double stroller. Additionally, single strollers may be produced with sets of connectors such that they may connected in either the side-by-side configuration or the train configuration.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A stroller being foldable from an erect position to a collapsed position, and vice versa, comprising at least a collapsible folding mechanism, provided with at least one push rod fitted with a handle. The push rod is pivotable about a first pivot axis of the folding mechanism. The folding mechanism is further provided with a number of rods, wherein a first rod of said number of rods is pivotable about a second pivot axis of the folding mechanism. The first rod and the pushrod are provided with cooperating connecting elements being connectable to each other by pivoting the pushrod about the first pivot axis to an erect position of the push rod. In the erect position of the push rod, the connecting elements are lockable to each other by locking means, wherein when the locking means are unlocked and the connecting elements are still connected to each other, the connecting means prevent the first rod to pivot about the second pivot axis. After unlocking the locking means as well as after disconnecting the connecting elements by pivoting the pushrod about the first pivot axis towards a collapsed position of the push rod, the first rod is pivotable about the second pivot axis to allow the folding mechanism to collapse into the collapsed position of the stroller.
Abstract:
