Abstract:
A method and apparatus for maintaining or elevating the temperature of one or more parts in an automated liquid painting or powder coating system, in an area that is required to be ignition- source-free, through the use of a heat-retaining, ignition-source-free tunnel, i.e. an ignition-source-free heat tunnel.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a method of drying of material, in particular timber, using warm air, where the drying process is divided into at least a first and a second subprocess (A, B), in series with each other, and the circulating flows (2) of the two subprocesses in the relevant drying chambers are conditioned to significantly different wet temperatures (TvA) and (TvB), respectively. In order to achieve a reduced energy input, the circulating air (2) in the first subprocess (A) is given a higher wet temperature (TvA) than the circulating air (2) in the second subprocess (B), and that heat in the circulating air (2) in the first subprocess (A) is recovered and transferred to the second subprocess (B).

Abstract:
An egg dryer incorporating a rotating spool bar conveyor extending between an inlet end and an outlet end and upon which are supported a plurality of eggs conveyed through the body. An airflow exhibiting a humidity less than that associated with an environment outside the body is directed from the outlet end in a normal and opposing flowing direction relative to a direction of travel of the eggs. Subset flows of heated/desiccated air are also redirected to one or more intermediate header tubes arranged at internal locations of the body in communication with the conveyor and, in combination with impinging baffle plates mounted in proximity to the header tubes, provide additional and targeting drying of such as the ends of the eggs in combination with the overall heated/desiccated airflow.
Abstract:
An apparatus (1) for thermal treatment of manufactured articles, particularly made of ceramic material, which comprises at least one heated chamber (2) provided with at least one opening (3) for introducing at least one article (M) to be treated and with at least one opening (4) for extracting the at least one treated article (M) and means for transmitting heat to the at least one article (M), the transmission means comprising at least one burner (5) provided with a radiant tube (6), which is inserted in the chamber (2) and is provided with at least one port (7) for the evacuation of the combustion gases which is connected to the inside of the chamber so as to achieve mixed heat propagation by radiation and convection.
Abstract:
A drier for drying wet material includes a drying chamber with a plurality of heating region regions and a plurality of drying regions, alternatively located along the path of the material through the drier. Each of the heating regions is heated with heating fluid by a heating recirculation system wherein the heating fluid overall flows in heat exchange with the material in the chamber, but wherein the heating fluid can flow in various ways within each heating region. A fluid circulation system flows drying fluid through each of the drying regions generally in countercurrent flow relative to the flow of material through the drier, although the drying fluid can flow in various ways within each drying region. The drying fluid exiting the drier is used to preheat the heating fluid exiting the drier prior to the heating fluid reentering the drier. Makeup heat is supplied to the system.
Abstract:
A bearing mounting system for a roller conveyor used in a hot air dryer, comprising an elongated bearing support cartridge having an elongated base with individual bearing carriers distributed between the ends of the base and each being arranged to carry a bearing sleeve segment of the type that has a bearing surface that lies in an imaginary cylinder such that an axis of the bearing surface lies in a horizontal plane perpendicular to the length of the cartridge and corresponds to the axis of rotation of a roll of the conveyor, the cartridge having mounting elements distributed at least on its ends for mounting to a frame of the dryer, the individual bearing carriers being installable and removable on and off the dryer frame only as a unit with other portions of the cartridge. The bearing sleeve segments and bearing carriers can be provided with interlocking grooves and tabs.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system and associated method for the production of gypsum in manufacturing plant. More specifically, the invention relates to the production of alpha-type gypsum in a gypsum board manufacturing plant. The system yields increased efficiencies by capturing heat given off during processing steps and using that heat to reduce the energy needed for calcination. The invention finds particular application in the production alpha-type gypsum. The present invention is described in greater detail hereinafter in conjunction with the following specific embodiments.
