The invention is related to an arrangement for detecting a mechanical contact between two objects moving in respect each other. The arrangement includes one or several transmission line (PSTL) to transfer electrical, acoustical or mechanical energy and a contact of said objects in that area, where said transmission line (PSTL) is, cause a change in properties of energy transfer of said transmission line (PSTL) and this change is detected by the means of the arrangement (RECEIVER, PROCESSOR) either as a reflection of energy or as a change of energy transmission capability or as both.

The invention relates to a safety device for gates of lifts and elevators comprising a release device (4) which, when a door of the lift gate is closing and meets an obstruction, causing an excessive resistance to the movement thereof according to a prefixed resistance threshold value, releases the coasters (6) bearing the door from means for moving thereof such as to cause said coasters (6), and in consequence said door, to stop, while said means for moving said door remains activated. The release device (4) is a completely mechanical safety device.

An elevator monitoring system and method includes cabin-based radars monitor doors and passengers within a cabin; waiting zone radars monitor passengers in a waiting zone; a central processor analyzes data from the various monitors and executes an elevator control function to control the elevator system. The door state is determined by detecting reflections from internal angles within the cabin and a door management system manages door operation safely by monitoring a proximal zone around the automatic door, detecting moving objects and obstructions.

The invention relates to an indication system for generating an indication (114). The system comprises: at least one indication device (106), at least one detection device (104) configured to monitor at least one area (109a, 109b) inside a building to provide monitoring data, and a control unit (108). The control unit (108) is configured to: detect based on the monitoring data obtained from the at least one detection device (104) at least one predefined object (110) with a specific need, and control the at least one indication device (106) to generate a visual indication (114) comprising guidance information to a gate device (102a) allocated for the detected at least one predefined object (110) in response to the detection of the at least one predefined object (110). The invention relates also to a method for generating an indication (114).

The invention relates to an elevator arrangement having an elevator comprising an 5 elevator car (2) arranged to run up and down in an elevator shaft (1) along guide rails, a maintenance opening (3), from where a maintenance person (7) works from inside the elevator car (2) in the eleva-10 tor shaft (1), and an operating switch (8a) for locking and unlocking the maintenance opening (3). The arrangement com-prises a separate actuator (11) in order to activate and deactivate the operating 15 switch (8a).

An unlocking system including an elevator system with a lock having an unlocking mechanism and a keyway, the lock configured to secure a door of the elevator system and a detection device configured proximal to the keyway, the detection device configured to detect the presence of an authorization device configured to operate with the detection device that is located in proximity to the unlocking mechanism. If the detection device detects a key without an authorization device, the unlocking mechanism is configured to be disabled and may not be unlocked. If the detection device detects a key having an authorization device, the unlocking mechanism is enabled and the lock may be unlocked.
