Abstract:
This invention relates to bis-azo colorants for use as bluing agents, laundry care compositions comprising bis-azo colorants that may serve as bluing agents, processes for making such bluing agents and laundry care compositions and methods of using the same. The bluing agents are generally comprised of at least two components: at least one chromophore component and at least one polymeric component. These bluing agents are advantageous in providing a whitening effect to fabrics, while not building up over time and causing undesirable blue discoloration to the treated fabrics.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of laundering fabric comprising the step of contacting a solid laundry detergent composition comprising a transition metal bleach catalyst to water to form a wash liquor, and laundering fabric in said wash liquor, wherein the laundry detergent is contacted to water in such an amount so that the concentration of laundry detergent composition in the wash liquor is from above 0g/l to 5g/l, and wherein from 0.01kg to 2kg of fabric per litre of wash liquor is dosed into said wash liquor.
Abstract:

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of laundering fabric comprising the step of contacting a solid laundry detergent composition comprising bleach to water to form a wash liquor, and laundering fabric in said wash liquor, wherein the composition has a reserve alkalinity of 5.0 or greater, wherein the laundry detergent is contacted to water in such an amount so that the concentration of laundry detergent composition in the wash liquor is from above 0g/l to 5g/l, and wherein from 0.01kg to 2kg of fabric per litre of wash liquor is dosed into said wash liquor.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of laundering fabric comprising the step of contacting a liquid laundry detergent composition comprising a transition metal bleach catalyst to water to form a wash liquor, and laundering fabric in said wash liquor, wherein the laundry detergent is contacted to water in such an amount so that the concentration of laundry detergent composition in the wash liquor is from above 0g/l to 4g/l, and wherein from 0.01kg to 2kg of fabric per litre of wash liquor is dosed into said wash liquor.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of laundering fabric comprising the step of contacting a solid laundry detergent composition comprising a bleach ingredient to water to form a wash liquor, and laundering fabric in said wash liquor, wherein the bleach ingredient has a logP o/w of greater than 0, preferably greater than 1.5, even more preferably greater than 3.5, wherein the bleach ingredient is capable of generating a bleaching species having a X SO of from 0.01 to about 0.30, preferably from 0.05 to about 0.25, even more preferably from about 0.10 to 0.20, wherein the laundry detergent is contacted to water in such an amount so that the concentration of laundry detergent composition in the wash liquor is from above 0g/l to 5g/l, and wherein from 0.01kg to 2kg of fabric per litre of wash liquor is dosed into said wash liquor.
Abstract:
The present inventions relates to a disposable absorbent articles, including diapers and sanitary napkins, comprising a bleach activator system for controlling odors associated with bodily fluids. The bleach activator system may comprise a peroxygen bleach compound (including a source of hydrogen peroxide) and a bleach activator compound capable of generating a peroxyacid in-situ within the absorbent article.
Abstract:
This invention relates to cleaning compositions comprising organic catalysts having enhanced enzyme compatibility and processes for making and using such cleaning compositions.
Abstract:
Processes for producing intermediate materials used for perfumery, specifically, epimerized cyclohexenyl ketones, are disclosed. Processes for employing the epimerising reaction in an Aldol condensation reaction are also disclosed. The process for epimerizing a cyclohexenyl ketone comprises the step of reacting epimerizable cyclohexenyl ketone with a metal hydride, preferably a hydride of Group 1 or Group 2 metals, more preferably wherein the metal hydride is selected from the group consisting of LiH, NaH, KH, CaH2 and mixtures thereof.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition comprising: (i) a lipase; and (ii) a bleach catalyst that is capable of accepting an oxygen atom from a peroxyacid and transferring the oxygen atom to an oxidizeable substrate.
