Abstract:
The present invention provides for superior all purpose or multipurpose cleaners that are compliant with local and federal VOC (volatile organic compound) regulations, are not flammable, do not use ingredients which detract from the worlds food supply, are mild to surfaces and materials of construction with a near neutral pH, clean with less work and in a shorter period of time compared to currently commercial available cleaners.
Abstract:
Apparatus (200) for the treatment of one or more substrates comprising a treatment chamber configured to receive a liquid medium and one or more substrates; a supply of a treatment gas comprising ozone; and one or more conduits to convey said treatment gas to a bubble generator (41) wherein said bubble generator is operable to form bubbles of said treatment gas in said liquid medium, wherein the apparatus comprises a multiplicity of solid particles (46). A method of treating one or more substrates, the method comprising agitating said one or more substrates in a treatment formulation comprising a multiplicity of solid particles, a liquid medium and bubbles of ozone.
Abstract:
The present invention provides for the use of activator complexes to enhance lower temperature cleaning in alkaline peroxide cleaning systems. Compositions including at least one of an activator complex, an active oxygen source, and a source of alkalinity are applied to the surface to be cleaned at temperatures between about 5°C and about 50°C. The methods and compositions of the present invention provide for enhanced soil removal with reduced energy, water, and chemistry consumption.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to detergent compositions containing incompatible ingredients, like enzymes and bleach, which can be used to clean various surfaces including but not limited to, hard surfaces as well as fabrics, clothes, carpets, wherein a bleach is encapsulated in coating digestible by an enzyme present in the composition.
Abstract:
A detergent powder composition comprising an anionic and or nonionic surfactant, a bleach and a stain-removal enhancer selected from N-(optionally substituted) acyl-N-(C5C31) hydrocarbyl polyhydroxy amides, alkyl aldonamides, alkyl or alkenyl glycasuccinimides and N-(optionally substituted) aminoalkyl polyhydroxy fatty acid amides.
Abstract:
An ultrasonic water-soluble dental cleansing composition comprising scrubbing particles, a bleaching agent, a bleaching enhancer, a tablet aid, a tablet disintegrator, a tartar control agent, a crystallization inhibitor, a chelating agent and a pH adjusting agent is disclosed.
Abstract:
A bleaching detergent composition which prevents or inhibits tarnishing of silver comprises: (a) a bleaching agent selected from a peroxygen or peroxygen-yielding compound, a hypohalite or hypohalite-yielding compound, or a salt thereof, or mixtures thereof; (b) an anti-tarnishing agent selected from: (i) a purine class compound; (ii) cyanuric acid or isocyanuric acid or a salt thereof; (iii) a 1,3-N azole compound; (iv) a mixture of any of the above compounds (i), (ii) or (iii); (c) optionally a builder; (d) optionally, a surfactant; wherein the composition exhibits a pH value in the range from 7 to 13, and wherein the anti-tarnishing agent has a pKa value below the pH value of an aqueous solution of the composition.
Abstract:
A peracid bleaching species is formed in situ in aqueous wash liquor by reaction of a peroxygen bleach precursor, such as perborate or percarbonate, and a bleach activator. The bleach activator is an acetylated ethylene diamine, that comprises at least 25% triacetyl ethylene diamine. The peracid is formed more rapidly even at low temperatures (F2) compared to use of conventional pure tetracetyl ethylene diamine (F1) and better disinfectant properties result.
Abstract:
Stabilized peroxygen containing compositions are disclosed, both in thickened viscous form and in dry form. The compositions contain newly synthesized calcium sulfate crystals that function as a thickener and stabilizing agent against metal-catalyzed decomposition. The invention discloses a composition comprising 0.5 wt % to 50 % wt of hydrogen peroxide, 2.0 wt % to 80.0 % wt of newly synthesized calcium sulfate crystals, being of individual sheet or needle shape, and water, said composition having a viscosity of 200 cP to 20,000 cP. The invention further provides a process for making same, comprising the reaction of a water soluble calcium containing salt with sulfuric acid or a salt thereof in an aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution at a reaction temperature of up to 80°C in a mixing apparatus, followed by a concentration step in order to thicken into a stable viscous dispersion or paste containing at least 2 wt % and preferably 10 wt % to 15 wt % of CaSO 4 . The compositions are suitable for use as disinfectants, as cleaning agents, and in a variety of personal care, pharmaceutical, textile bleaching and industrial applications.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a process for making a co-particle containing a hydrogen-peroxide bleaching syststem comprising the steps of contacting a hydrogen peroxide source with a binder to form a coated particle and contacting the coated particle with a coating powder to form a co-particle.
