The sources and bodies of the first and second PMOS transistors can be connected to one another, the drain of the first PMOS transistor can be connected to the amplifier's output, and the drain of the second PMOS transistor can be connected to a signal pin. During normal operating conditions, the fault protection control circuit can turn on the first and second PMOS transistors. However, the fault protection control circuit can turn off the first PMOS transistor and turn on the second PMOS transistor when an overvoltage condition is detected, and can turn on the first PMOS transistor and turn off the second PMOS transistor when an undervoltage condition is detected, even when the integrated circuit is unpowered.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft Sicherheitsschaltvorrichtung (1 ) zum fehlersicheren Ein- oder Ausschalten einer gefährlichen Anlage (10) mit einem Eingang zum Aufnehmen eines Eingangssignals, mit einer fehlersicherere Steuer/Auswerteeinheit (28), die das Eingangssignal verarbeitet, um in Abhängigkeit davon ein Ausgangssignal zum Ein- oder Ausschalten der gefährlichen Anlage (10) zu erzeugen, und mit einem Netzteil (50) zum Bereitstellen zumindest einer Betriebsspannung für die Steuer/Auswerteeinheit (28). Das Netzteil (50) weist einen Spannungswandler (52) auf zum Umwandeln einer Eingangspannung (Ue) in eine der Betriebsspannung entsprechende Ausgangsspannung (Ua) eines definierten Ausgangsspannungswertes. Das Netzteil (50) weist einen Fehlerdetektor (54) auf zum Erkennen eines Fehlerzustands des Spannungswandlers (52).
