Abstract:
The invention relates to an electronic device (10) and a method for data communication with such an electronic device. The electronic device combines, on the one hand, a Near Field Communication (NFC) interface, including an antenna and a circuit for generating a modulated electromagnetic wave, and on the other hand a user interface including a touch-sensitive display configured to present an object relating to a communication action executable by means of the NFC interface. A control unit connected to the NFC interface and the user interface, is configured to trigger the NFC interface to execute the communication action responsive to simultaneous detection of the presented object being touched and the NFC interface being in communicative connection with a second NFC interface of a second device.
Abstract:
A camera system comprising, in combination, a camera unit comprising a camera, a camera motion control and a wireless communication hub, a cellular phone or PDA having an image screen wirelessly linked to the lens of the camera unit, said cellular phone or PDA having a keyboard or touch screen by which a user may control the camera.
Abstract:
An information apparatus that is on a local area rasterizes (910) a digital document (900) on the information apparatus to generate image data and creates an intermediate output data (920) from the image data. The intermediate output data (920) is transmitted to an output device (930) that is on the local area network and includes an output engine outputs images with a device-specific output size and resolution. The image data is recovered from the intermediate output data (940) and is converted to instructions compatible with the size and resolution of the output engine. The method further includes providing the instructions to the output engine (960) and operating the output engine in response to the instructions and thereby outputting an image of the digital document.
Abstract:
An independent description selector includes, in a mopier/copier for making a copy of an original, an independent original selector device for selection of parameters describing the original. An independent copy selector device is provided for the selection of parameters describing the copy. In a preferred embodiment, an input device is connected to the original selector and to the copy selector for adding and deleting parameters and deleting parameters. In a further embodiment, an audio/visual device is connected to the mopier/copier so that parameters are audibly and visually described as selected.
Abstract:
A device, as in fig. 5, for utilizing the multi-use interface slot of an electronic device to accept an accessory module (200) that functions as an image capture device is provided. In the preferred embodiment, the accessory module (200) is a digital camera that can be physically and electrically coupled to the electronic device by way of an electrical interface in the interface slot and a corresponding electrical interface (510) on the accessory module. The electronic device can then be used to take and store stills of live images for later retrieval, management, or transmission in the interface.
Abstract:
A system and method for capturing and managing live images in a digital format on an electronic device (100) in a manner that is easy, intuitive and useful is provided. The system and method includes an image management engine (185) and graphical user interface (120) that allows a user to manage, manipulate, edit and store the images in the electronic device (100). Additionally, the invention provides a method of transmitting images thus captured and stored to a remote device.
Abstract:
A card I/F (11) accepts a recording medium such as a flash memory card storing digital image data. A main controller (7) reads the image data from the recording medium in the card I/F (11). A touch panel controller (10) informs the main controller (7) of unit images designated by a user. The main controller sequentially supplies the designated unit image information and relating image data to 8 printers (14-1 to 14-8) to instruct them to print the images. The printers (14-1 to 14-8) print the designated unit image information for designated quantities. In a case where the user selects free printing through the touch panel controller (10), the main controller (7) synthesizes the designated unit image information with an advertisement image stored in a storage unit (8), and supplies resultant image data to the printers (14-1 to 14-8).
Abstract:
The invention concerns a system for obtaining digital photographs comprising a digital photographic camera provided with a PCMCIA-type card, and an interactive terminal (1) the interactive terminal (1) comprises means for reading the PCMCIA card, means for printing the photographs, means for immediately displaying the photographs delivered from the PCMCIA card, and means for controlling the printing of a displayed photograph. The display means and the control means consist of a touch-sensitive screen (5) whereon is displayed a first image comprising a series of photographs, a control for displaying another series, and a control for displaying exclusively one photograph pertaining to the displayed series.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a process and user interface for ordering prints of digitized picture files at an order station (2). The order station (2) comprises a housing (4) open at one side in which several devices are provided, for example a monitor (10), a computer (12), a storage compartment (14) for digital cameras to which several cable guides are connected for cables for connecting digital cameras, and a document printer (16). The housing (4) is closed off to the outside by a front panel, the latter having in the area of the monitor a glass sheet with touch recognition. The invention further relates to a user interface for ordering prints of digitized picture files at an order station, said user interface being composed of a monitor and of a glass sheet with touch recognition fitted in front of the monitor, the monitor and the touch recognition of the glass sheet being controllable from a computer by the appropriate signals and data.
