Abstract:
A method of generating a workflow of an image forming job is provided. The method includes providing a list of selectable first functions, receiving a user input for selecting a first function from the list of first functions, providing a list of second functions that are continuously executable to the selected first function by using information about output data of the selected first function, receiving a user input for selecting a second function from the list of second functions, and generating a workflow defined to sequentially execute the selected first function and second function.
Abstract:
An electronic device having a display includes a base connected to a part of a main body of the electronic device, the display configured to receive a touch input and integrally formed with at least one support, and at least one vibrator arranged on the display to vibrate the display in accordance with the touch input, wherein the display is apart from the base in a portion excluding the support.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a printing system, comprising a print job receiving section permitting a user to submit a print job to the printing system, the print job comprising a plurality of print job settings, a print job queue section comprising a print job queue for print jobs submitted to the printing system and scheduled to be printed, and a proof print repository section comprising a proof print repository for proof print jobs submitted to the printing system. The printing system comprises a continuous monitoring section configured to compare print job settings of a proof print job residing in the proof print repository or scheduled in the print job queue with current resources available in the printing system according to a proof print policy. The proof print policy is attached to the proof print job and comprises a comparison criterion. Upon a match of the print job settings of the proof print job with the current resources according to the comparison criterion, the proof print job is scheduled in the print job queue.
Abstract:
Provided is a method of controlling an operation of an image forming apparatus by using a wearable device, the method including operations of converting a task performance request related to a task, which is transmitted from the wearable device, into an execution instruction of a first application that controls the operation of the image forming apparatus; requesting, as the first application is executed based on the execution instruction, the image forming apparatus to perform the task; and receiving, as the task is performed by the image forming apparatus, information indicating a task performance result related to the task from the image forming apparatus.
Abstract:
A sheet scanner that scans an input document to generate a scan image that is communicated to a selected scan destination via a wireless communications port of the sheet scanner includes a touch screen display having a swipe screen interface including at least one icon for selecting a scan destination by selecting the icon on the touch screen display, and at least one icon that the user may access by swiping the swipe screen interface and that, when selected, enables the user to select a different scan destination. An outbox icon may also be selected to enter the sheet scanner into a mode for viewing activity status and history of the sheet scanner and for resending the scan image to the same or a new scan destination.
Abstract:
Techniques to selectively capture media using a single user interface element are described. In one embodiment, an apparatus may comprise a touch controller, a visual media capture component, and a storage component. The touch controller may be operative to receive a haptic engagement signal. The visual media capture component may be operative to be configured in a capture mode based on whether a haptic disengagement signal is received by the touch controller before expiration of a first timer, the capture mode one of a photo capture mode or video capture mode, the first timer started in response to receiving the haptic engagement signal, the first timer configured to expire after a first preset duration. The storage component may be operative to store visual media captured by the visual media capture component in the configured capture mode. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Abstract:
A printer includes an interface selector to generate a signal that indicates whether a stylus has been installed with a printer. An interface controller monitors the signal from the interface selector to detect if the stylus has been installed with the printer and generates a first printer interface if the stylus has been detected and generates a second printer interface if the stylus has not been detected.
Abstract:
In one example of the disclosure, a print job with instructions for printing an image at a resolution is obtained. A display of the image, at the resolution, at a display device is caused. A first reference and a second reference are indicated within the displayed image. A quantity of pixels between the first and second references is determined. An indication of a real distance between the first and second references is received. A desired scale for the image is obtained. A rescale factor for the image is determined based on the resolution, the determined pixel quantity, the real distance, and the desired scale.
