The invention relates to a front hood assembly according to which the front hood (1) of a motor vehicle is hinged to the chassis of the motor vehicle via at least hinge (4), said front hood (1) being lockable via at least one hood lock (3). The at least one hinge is configured as a deformable structure and tensioning means are provided that overcome the vertical resistance to a force that acts upon the front hood. The aim of the invention is to provide a protection for pedestrians that is technically feasible and can be implemented at low costs. To this end, a connecting rod (7) that connects a joint of the hinge (4) with the chassis is mounted such that it can be displaced.

An improved hinge assembly for use with gates, doors and the like, including respective first, second and third members, adapted to be releasably and adjustably mounted to a gate, door or the like and a jamb or the like therefor. The first member (1) has means (10, 11) associated therewith which allows for pivotal movement thereof relative to said second (2) and third members (3), thereby to allow for selective and controlled opening and/or closing of the gate, door or the like. The assembly further includes means which allows for the monitoring of the disposition of the gate, door or the like relative to the jamb or the like therefor, thereby to denote whether the gate, door of the like is open or closed. Means are also provided for selective vertical and/or horizontal adjustment of the hinge assembly.

A temporary vehicle door check mechanism suitable for use during vehicle painting operations comprises a hinge comprising door side and body side portions, and an intermediate bridge portion, all of which are rotatably connected at a common axis of rotation. A flexible prop button is mounted to either the door side or the body side portions of the hinge, and is adapted to releasably contact the intermediate bridge portion of the hinge as the door is rotated about the hinge, to releasably hold the door in a partially or fully open position.

The invention relates to a door hinge for a motor vehicle, with a door stop (17) attached thereto, comprising a brake element and a retaining element that is directly or indirectly rotationally fixed to one half (1) of the hinge and a retaining housing (18) that is rotationally fixed to the other half (2) of the hinge, whereby the brake element and retaining element is formed by an engaging element (19) with an external peripheral contour that deviates from a pure circular shape and the retaining housing (18) is formed by a hollow profiled section with at least one inner peripheral contour that marks at least one braking or retaining position. The aim of the invention is to provide a door hinge that is designed as an independently prefabricated component which can be joined to the hinge of a door of a motor vehicle,whereby dirt can be prevented from entering the retaining housing. This is achieved by arranging the engaging element (19) in an axial extension of a hinge pin (3) that is rotationally fixed in one half (1) of the hinge and by placing the retaining housing (18) in an axial extension of the eye(16) of the other half (2) of the hinge, in addition to providing the retaining housing (18) with at least one liquid-proof casing (20) made from a plastic material on its longitudinal side and open front face.

A door or window frame hinge comprises two hinge parts (10, 12) each having a bush (14, 18) and a flap (16, 20). A first bush (14) has a cylindrical cavity (24) with a sleeve (28) in which is fitted a pin (22). A second bush (18) has a transversely elongated cavity (26) parallel to a plane of the door or window frame, and a lateral hole (56) for communication with the exterior of the cavity (26). The pin (22) engages the cavity (26) of the second bush (18) with clearance. A threaded diametral hole (54) of the pin (22) is engaged by at least one threaded grub screw (48; 49, 51) transversely whereby to adjust its position with respect to the second bush (18), the opposite ends (48a, 48b, 49a, 51a) of the grub screw abut against opposite faces (50) of the cavity (26) in correspondence with the lateral hole (56). The door of the secure enclosure has mounted thereon a locking bolt work mechanism (24) which operates in a secure condition to engage locking bolt engaging apertures (46). The door further includes dead bolt projections (150) which engage apertures (62) when the door is in the closed position. The bolt work mechanism includes a drive cam (122) which is engageable by a member of a lock (126). The drive cam is connected to a pair of idler cams (118, 120) by L-links (134, 136). The idler cams are connected to a locking bolt (102) by S-links (138, 140). Movement of the drive cam enables moving the locking bolt between extended and retracted positions.

Eine bandseitige Fingerschutzvorrichtung für eine Flügeltür weist ein Schutzprofil (1 ) auf. Das Schutzprofil (1 ) ist durch Einklemmen zwischen zwei Türbändern (B) oder zwischen einem Türband (B) und einer Anschlageinrichtung (7) an der Flügeltür befestigbar. Ferner ist ein Adapterteil (2) vorhanden mit einer Stirnfläche, deren Position relativ zum Schutzprofil (1 ) in Längsrichtung veränderbar ist, um das Einführen und das Einklemmen des Schutzprofils (1 ) zwischen den Türbändern (B) bzw. zwischen dem einen Türband (B) und der Anschlageinrichtung (7) zu ermöglichen. Das Adapterteil (2) ist in das Schutzprofil einsetzbar ist. Die in ihrer Lage veränderbare Stirnfläche des Adapterteils (2) ist auf einer dem Schutzprofil (1) gegenüberliegenden Seite des Adapterteils (2) angeordnet, wenn das Adapterteil (2) im Schutzprofil (1 ) eingesetzt ist. Die bandseitige Fingerschutzvorrichtung ermöglicht eine einfache und schnelle Montage an einer Tür. Des Weiteren lässt sie sich mit einer Vielzahl unterschiedlicher Türbänder verwenden.
