Abstract:
Arrangement for an electrical connector The invention relates to an arrangement (14) for or in an electrical connector (20). An object of the invention is to provide an arrangement for an electrical connector in which manual assembly is possible. According to the invention, this is achieved by an arrangement (14) for or in an electrical connector (20), comprising two connector portions (8) which can be folded relative to each other and of which one is provided with an insulation displacement contact (6) and the other with a cable pressing face which faces the insulation displacement contact (6), and having a fitting sleeve (1) for fitting over the two connector portions (8) in a fitting direction (A), outer faces (12) of the connector portions (8) and/or inner faces (5) of the fitting sleeve (1) extending towards each other counter to the fitting direction (A).
Abstract:
A high voltage (HV) header assembly (100) includes an outer housing (202) having a right angle body (204) including a first segment (206) and a second segment (208) oriented perpendicularly to the first segment. The first segment has a mating interface at a distal end for mating with a plug assembly. The second segment has a mounting flange at a distal end for mounting to a device. The second segment extends from the first segment such that the mounting flange is oriented perpendicularly to the mating interface. The body defines a right angle chamber (210) extending through the first and second segments between the mating interface and the mounting flange. HV contacts are received in the chamber of the outer housing and are configured to electrically connect to plug contacts of the plug assembly.
Abstract:

Method for assembling an electrical connector thereof.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an electronic interface (1), in particular a USB interface, preferably a mini-USB or micro- USB interface (1) for the automotive sector, having an electromagnetic shielding (2) which has two shielding portions (20, 24) which are spaced apart from each other in a longitudinal direction (L) of the interface (1) and which have different widths in a transverse direction (Q) of the interface (1), wherein the two shielding portions (20, 24) are in an electrically conductive connection (200, 202) with respect to each other at least at two sides of the interface (1). The invention further relates to a printed circuit board, in particular a USB card, or a prefabricated electronic cable, in particular for the automotive sector, wherein the printed circuit board or the prefabricated cable comprises an electronic interface (1) according to the invention.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electrical connector (1) for a plug-in connection (2), comprising a connector housing (7) having a mating part (8) defining a receiving section adapted for receiving a mating section (38) of a counter-connector (3), at least two contact elements (13) that are placed in the receiving section, and a ground contact assembly (67) comprising a ground contact (33) having a contacting portion (36) adapted for being electrically connected with a grounding element of a retainer (5). For providing an electrical connector (1), which can be coupled with standard counter-connectors (3), the ground contact assembly (67) of the electrical connector (1) according to the present invention is arranged outside the receiving section with the contacting portion (36) extending at least section-wise into the receiving section.
Abstract:
An electrical connector is provided that includes a connector housing supporting a plurality of electrical contacts. The electrical contacts are edge-coupled along a column direction, and spaced apart along a row direction so as to define a space that is defined by adjacent electrical contacts along the row direction. The electrical connector includes at least one rib disposed in the space. The rib has a dielectric constant greater than air such that the dielectric constant of the space is increased with respect to a substantially identical space that is filled only with air. The increased dielectric constant reduces the impedance of the electrical connector.
