Die Erfindung betrifft eine elektromagnetische Sende-und Empfangsvorrichtung (1) für einen Reifen (27), aufweisend mindestens eine Sendekomponente (2), mindestens eine Empfangskomponente (3) und mindestens eine Speicherkomponente (4) und aufweisend eine Tragekomponente(5), wobei die Tragekomponente (5) zum Tragen der mindestens einen Sendekomponente (2), der mindestens einen Empfangskomponente (3) und der mindestens einen Speicherkomponente (4) geeignet ist, wobei es sich bei der elektromagnetischen Sende-und Empfangsvorrichtung (1) um eine folienartige elektromagnetische Sende-und Empfangsvorrichtung (1) handelt,mit einem ersten Größenverhältnis einer maximalen Foliendicke (6) zu einer maximalen Folienbreite (7) von 1 zu 2 bis 1 zu 500und einem zweiten Größenverhältnis der maximalen Foliendicke (6) zu einer maximalen Folienlänge (8) von 1 zu 2 bis 1 zu 1500.

The embodiments described herein generally relate to an electronic communication module suitable for incorporating into a tire or tire retread, where the electronic communication module comprises a radio device having at least a portion of its outer surface surrounded by a rubber composition. Certain embodiments also relate to tires or tire retreads containing the electronic communication module. In addition, certain embodiments relate to methods for improving the readability of a radio device incorporated into a tire or tire retread.

Apparatus and associated methods relate to a flexible high-temperature-tolerant RFID tag having an RFID integrated packaged in an SOT package attached with a high temperature solder to a flex circuit defining an RFID antenna. In an illustrative embodiment, the flexible high-temperature-tolerant RFID tag may be encapsulated in a flexible material. For example, the SOT packaged RFID integrated circuit may be encapsulated in rubber. In some embodiments the entire assembled RFID tag may be encapsulated in rubber or another flexible compound. In some embodiments, such flexible high-temperature-tolerant RFID tags may be advantageously used in high-temperature applications. In an exemplary embodiment, flexible high-temperature-tolerant RFID tags may be attached to products that may be flexible and/or deformable. In an exemplary embodiment, a flexible high-temperature-tolerant RFID tag may be molded into a rubber that will be used in a flexible application.

According to an aspect of the invention,a label is provided, comprising: a facestock material layer; an adhesive layer; a metallic layer arranged between the adhesive layer and the facestock material layer for preventing or at least reducing migration of chemicals from or through the adhesive layer towards the facestock material layer, and a radio frequency identification transponder. A slot type antenna pattern is provided for the radio frequency identification transponder by the metallic layer, the antenna pattern being formed via absence of metal from a defined area of the metallic layer.
