摘要: A scheduling engine for optimally scheduling the allocation of a set of service providers to a defined set of service points includes a service point mechanism for collecting and processing a plurality of service point data elements, and a service provider mechanism for collecting and processing a plurality of service provider data elements. A generic multi-layer scheduling mechanism generates allocation schedules for allocating the set of service providers to the set of service points irrespective of nonlinearity or dependence amongst said plurality of service point data elements and said plurality of service providers data elements. The generic multi-layer scheduling mechanism employs a heuristic algorithm for use of an objective function relating to said plurality of service point data elements and said plurality of provider data elements and said control parameters that describe what is important to the customer and generating therefrom an optimal allocation schedule.

摘要: Meeting or conference facilities (300) are evaluated based on all-inclusive meeting cost. The all-inclusive meeting cost is used to rank the facilities (300) based on the lowest all-inclusive meeting cost or on highest quality below a maximum cost. Meeting planers (200), enter information to define the minimum meeting and facilites requirements (700), amenities (720) and geographic location (730). Based on the entered meeting requirements, an application server (400) retrieves meeting cost data from database (500) of cost factors and determines an all-inclusive meeting cost for each facility (300). The determined all-inclusive meeting costs for the facilities (300) under consideration are then ranked, so as to enable the meeting planers (200) to compare total meeting cost at facilities (300) with different characteristics, and find the facilities (300) that offer the most value.

摘要: Systems and methods are described herein for scheduling tasks based on predicted animal behavior. The systems and methods may receive schedule parameter data; generate set-times for performing tasks based on the schedule-parameter data; determine that one of the set-times conflicts with another one of the set-times; and generate a schedule comprising different set-times for performing the tasks. The systems and methods may run a first schedule for performing tasks based on the schedule-parameter data, which may comprise set-times; receive environmental sensor data; and run a second schedule for performing the tasks. The second schedule may comprise set-times, be based on the environmental sensor data, and be different from the first schedule. The systems and methods may generate set-times for performing tasks based on the schedule-parameter data and offsets from a solunar event, and generate a schedule with the set-times.

摘要: A system prepares a work schedule for a retail establishment. The system includes (a) a user interface for each of a plurality of employees to each specify time periods that the employee is available for work assignment; (b) a system of sensors installed in the retail establishment to detect customer traffic; and (c) a scheduler providing a preliminary work schedule that includes work assignments for the employees over a predetermined time period, based on the time periods specified by each employee and the customer traffic detected by the system of sensors. The systems's scheduling and employee management process predicts and recommends adequate staffing requirements based on customer traffic, purchasing data, and employee performance. The system also includes a tool for measuring and quantifying the impact of efficient scheduling on the retail store's revenue.

摘要: An appointment and payment handling system may operate to handle payments for appointments based on user locations at times associated with appointments. The appointment and payment handling system may determine if a location of a customer device associated with a customer associated with an appointment matches a location associated with the appointment. If the locations match, the appointment and payment handling system may create a payment record for a payment to the merchant from the customer based on the determination that the customer location matches the location associated with the appointment.

摘要: One embodiment of the present invention provides a system for facilitating dynamic load-based merging. During operation, the system identifies incremental data in memory of a first computing device. The incremental data comprises update to reference data in a storage device in a second computing device. If the size of the incremental data becomes greater than a threshold, the system selects a first server group from a plurality of server groups. The second computing device belongs to this first server group. The system then migrates data access requests from the first server group to other server groups in the plurality of server groups and merges the incremental data from the memory of the first computing device to the storage device in the second computing device. The merging includes batch sequential disk writes to the storage device of the second computing device.
