Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for providing a Law Enforcement Agency with user data related to a target subscriber. A Multiservice Proxy (30) is hereby acting as Intercepting Control Element (16). The method comprises the following steps: A request to intercept traffic data related to the target is received (40,41) to the Intercepting Control Element (16). User data related to the target subscriber for which traffic data has been requested is collected (44) in the Intercepting Control Element. The collected data is forwarded (45,46) to a Law Enforcement Management Function.
Abstract:
A switch comprises a switching module coupled to a plurality of ports. The switching module receives and forwards a plurality of packets through the ports. The switch also comprises a management unit comprising a processor and an agent executable by the processor. The agent causes the processor to monitor each packet received by the switching module and determine whether each such packet contains a predetermined fingerprint. Upon determining that a packet contains the predetermined fingerprint, the processor causes additional information to be included in a copy of the fingerprinted packet and forwarded to a predetermined address. The switching module also forwards the packet containing the predetermined fingerprint, but without the additional information, to an address corresponding to a destination address contained in the packet. A method of programming the switches is also described as well as a management workstation used to program the switches and analyze the fingerprinted packets.
Abstract:
A node of telecommunications network comprises comparing means for comparing current mobile station ID information with previously stored mobile station ID information. The node also comprises preparing means for preparing a notification message including both the previous mobile station ID information and the current mobile station ID information.
Abstract:
A method for licit monitoring and device thereof are provided. The method for licit monitoring includes: a monitoring center transmitting a monitoring task to a monitoring network unit to request to monitor a monitored object; the monitoring network unit reporting user interface data of a service session corresponding to the monitored object according to the received monitoring task and set monitoring reporting strategy, the monitored object according with the monitoring reporting strategy.
Abstract:
A method, a computer program product, apparatuses and a system are shown for performing Lawful Interception of Search Functionalities, by extracting at least one search related information from a search message in a communication system, wherein the search message is based on a query programming language and is associated with a search requester, and wherein the search message is one out of a search request and a search response, and determining whether at least one of the at least one search related information represents information to be intercepted, and sending at least one of the at least one search related information to a law enforcement agency in case at least one of the at least one search related information represents information to be intercepted.
Abstract:
A traffic plane entity (e.g., user plane entity (UPE), serving gateway (S-GW) ) and method are described herein for allocating a unique identifier (e.g., UPE/S-GW UE-Context-Id) which identifies and unifies a set of bearers within a UE context that is associated with a given UE. In operation, the traffic plane entity can then send the allocated unique identifier to another entity (e.g., mobility management entity (MME) ) which at a subsequent time re- sends the unique identifier back to the traffic plane entity along with a request to have the traffic plane entity perform a specific operation or procedure on the bearers associated with the UE context of the given UE. Upon receiving the request, the traffic plane entity uses the unique identifier to perform the requested operation or procedure simultaneously on all of the bearers associated with the UE context of the given UE.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for intercepting communications in an Internet Protocol (IP) network involve maintaining dialing profiles for respective subscribers to the IP network, each dialing profile including a username associated with the corresponding subscriber, and associating intercept information with the dialing profile of a subscriber whose communications are to be monitored. Intercept information will include determination information for determining whether to intercept a communication involving the subscriber, and destination information identifying a device to which intercepted communications involving the subscriber are to be sent. When the determination information meets intercept criteria communications are established with a media relay through which communications involving the subscriber will be conducted or are being conducted to cause the media relay to send a copy of the communications involving the subscriber to a mediation device specified by the destination information.
Abstract:
A method for facilitating surveillance of a targeted user participating in communication sessions conducted over a communications network, such as a voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) network, that employs a session initiation protocol (SIP). The method includes receiving a subscription request from a third party subscriber, the subscription request identifying a targeted user to be monitored, monitoring communication sessions in which the targeted user is a participant, to detect SIP events corresponding to state transitions associated with the communication sessions. A system for facilitating surveillance of a targeted user includes an application programming interface (API) operable to receive a subscription request from a third party subscriber, the subscription request identifying the targeted user, wherein the third party subscriber is not a participant in the one or more communication sessions, and a SIP events monitoring module operable to detect one or more predetermined SIP events associated with the communication sessions based on the subscription request and notify the third party subscriber of the detected SIP events.
