摘要: A method performed by a network node for performing Congestion Control in a wireless communications network is provided. The network node serves a number of User Equipments, UEs, comprising a first and one or more second UEs. The first UE has a radio resource allocated for communication between the first UE and the network node. The network node estimates (203) a first prediction of a forthcoming usage of the allocated radio resource, based on a measured data traffic between the network node and the first UE. The network node further determines (205) a first threshold related to the first prediction, as a function of a measured data traffic load between the network node and the number of UEs. The network node then performs (206) congestion control by deciding whether or not to initiate a removal of the radio resource allocated to the first UE, based on whether or not the first prediction exceeds the first threshold.

摘要: A method and a central network controller for identification of traffic flows causing network congestion are described. In response to a detection of congestion at an egress network interface of a network element, the network element is configured to include a forwarding pipeline including a plurality of forwarding table entries. The forwarding table entries include: an egress forwarding table entry, a group table entry, and a meter table entry. In response to the configuring the network element to include the forwarding table entries, a subset of packets from a copy of the packets is received at the central network controller from the network element at a predetermined threshold rate. A packet flow causing the congestion at the egress network interface is identified from the received subset of packets.

摘要: Some examples include performing traffic shaping for a network. For instance, a system may detect congestion in the network and may determine at least two traffic flows contributing to the congestion. The system may provide a user interface that includes information related to first and second traffic flows determined to be main contributors to the congestion from among the traffic flows contributing to the congestion. The system may receive, via the user interface, a selection of one of the first traffic flow or the second traffic flow as an indication of a user selection of one of the traffic flows as having a higher priority than at least another one of the traffic flows. Based on the indication, the system may send packets of the selected traffic flow according to the higher priority and send packets of the at least one other traffic flow according to a lower priority.

摘要: The present disclosure generally discloses a congestion control capability for use in communication systems (e.g., to provide congestion control over wireless links in wireless systems, over wireline links in wireline systems, and so forth). The congestion control capability may be configured to provide congestion control for a transport flow of a transport connection, sent from a transport flow sender to a transport flow receiver, based on flow control associated with the transport flow. The transport flow may traverse a flow queue of a link buffer of a link endpoint. The link endpoint may provide to the transport flow sender, via an off-band signaling channel, an indication of the saturation state of the flow queue of the transport flow. The transport flow sender may control transmission of packets of the transport flow based on the indication of the saturation state of the flow queue of the transport flow.

摘要: The present disclosure is related to congestion control in a telecommunications network. According to one example embodiment described herein, a method of congestion control in a transport network is provided. A buffer state of a buffer is monitored (210), e.g., by dynamically sampling the buffer such that the sampling rate is adjusted in dependence of the buffer state. Also, a condition indicative of congestion is determined (220) in response to a change of the buffer state exceeding a predetermined limit. In response to determining (220) the condition indicative of congestion, a congestion notification message is created (230). The created congestion notification message may then be transmitted (240) to a second network node. The second network node may subsequently compensate for a detected congestion on the basis of a received congestion notification message.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for configuring a UE to assist in mitigating network congestion include determining whether a data packet has expired based on a first parameter, which indicates an expiration of the data, and adjusting a transmission of the data packet based on the determination of whether the data packet has expired. In some aspects, the UE may drop the data packet upon determination that the data packet has expired. The UE may be configured detect to a first congestion level, receive a second congestion level from a second UE, and process a frame for transmission based on the first or second congestion level. The UE may be configured determine a priority, generate a data packet that includes a destination parameter or a source parameter, adjust radio resource parameters based on the destination parameter or source parameter, and transmit data packets according to adjusted radio resources.

A wireless station (STA) may identify a scan period during which a passive scan procedure is performed on a first channel. The STA may analyze a channel congestion metric during at least a portion of the scan period.
