Abstract:
Device in connection with small articles, for example, building blocks, and comprising an essentially box-like (1) construction, in which at least one side of the box, for example, the cover (2), is formed of at least two parts (21, 22) folded on top of each other, which can be spread to form a totality in essentially the direction of the base. The side wall (24) of the box can also be turned in essentially the direction of the base, in which case the said parts (21, 22) folded on top of each other are joined to form a continuation of the wall (24).
Abstract:
A play set having a main panel section and a pair of side panel sections, each of which is pivotably connected to tile side lateral edges of the main panel section. When the play set is in a first orientation, the main panel section and the pair of side panel sections are oriented generally co-planar to each other such that the upper main surface and upper side surfaces define a play surface having a perimeter, and when the play set is in a second orientation, the side panel sections are adjacent each other and in a plane parallel to the main panel section to define a play set case. When in the first orientation, one of the panel sections includes an elongated member extendable therefrom in a telescoping manner to define an additional play surface outside the perimeter of the main panel sections and side panel sections.
Abstract:
A game wherein players move their game pieces across a game board (418) and attempt to collect game cards (420) by moving their player mover (422) to a space that is occupied by a reward mover (424). Moreover, the game may be portable. In some cases, the game apparatus may be carried in a plastic case that resembles a hard-backed book. The game components may be based on an individual chapter from a published children's book or novel.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device (1) for simulating three-dimensional topographical conditions especially in the field of model making and toys. The inventive device comprises an elastically deformable, preferably cushion-like element (4). Said cushion-like element is preferably filled with granules, is supported by spatially defined support bodies (2) and is provided with adapters (5) for characterizing elements (3). Together with topographical situations printed preferably on the upper and lower side of the cushion-like element any topographical situation can be simulated. The invention also relates to a method for simulating different topographical situations using an elastically deformable, preferably cushion-like element that is provided with adapters for receiving characterizing elements. Different topographical situations can be simulated using different characterizing elements and spatially defined support bodies.
Abstract:
A kit for playing a game includes a plurality of representations of participants (10) in a game. Each representation bears at least one indicium (26, 28) relating to a score in the game. The game for which the kit is, preferably, cricket and the representations may comprise representations of fielders in the game of cricket. The indicia carried by each represention represents a number of runs which a batter can score.
Abstract:
A diagonal toy piece (52) for a modular toy building set including an underlying support structure (4) for supporting the diagonal toy piece and other toy pieces. The diagonal toy piece is a generally planar member having a top side and a bottom side, two outside edges (56) having respective outer ends (60) spaced from one another, and a diagonal edge (62) joining the outer ends of the outside edges. For mounting the diagonal toy piece on the underlying support structure, the bottom side of the toy piece has an attachment fitting (66) removably attachable to the support structure. The attachment fitting is preferably spaced from the diagonal edge of the toy piece. The diagonal toy piece can be joined with another, complementary diagonal toy piece via a connector on its diagonal edge which is releasably connectable to a cooperating connector on the complementary diagonal toy piece. The toy building set includes a plurality of generally planar toy pieces mountable on the support structure, including one or more of the diagonal toy pieces or composite toy pieces.
Abstract:
A modular lattice substructure (4) for a playing structure, such as a toy building set (2), that includes frames (132) and columns (112). In one embodiment, the sides of the columns (12) have a prostrusion connector (44) removably attachable to a slot connector (50) in the ends of elongate beams (32) and the ends of elongate joists (62), the beams (32) and joists (62) forming the frame. In another embodiment, the column (212) includes four protrusion connectors (220) on an upper portion, and four receptive connectors on a lower portion. The frame (232) includes protrusion connectors (236) on an upper portion and receptive connectors on a lower portion. The protrusion connectors (236) on the frame are attachable to the receptive connectors on the columns, and vice-versa. In this manner, a single frame (232) can be attached to a plurality of columns (212), and a single column (212) can be attached to a plurality of frames (232) in order to form a modular lattice substructure for a playing structure.
Abstract:
A sheet (31) has a number of slots (32) laterally defining elements (33) with fold lines (34, 35) extending between said slots. One end of the sheet is attached to the bottom surface (11) of a box (10) and the other end is attached to the inner surface (21) of a lid (20) hinged to the box. The elements (33) can be spatially unfolded, forming at least one plane (36) parallel to one of the said surfaces (for example 21) when it is substantially perpendicular to the other surface (for example 11), and so that the scenery construction (30) is folded on itself when the lid is swung down on the box.
