    Abstract: A configuration for a random access procedure including concurrent message 2 PDCCH monitoring with different procedures. The apparatus transmits a first random access message 1. The apparatus transmits a second random access message 1 in response to determining that a first random access message 2 control portion has not been received during a first portion of a first RAR window. The apparatus monitors for the first random access message 2 control portion and a second random access message 2 control portion concurrently during a second portion of the first RAR window. A coverage enhanced monitoring procedure for the second message 2 control portion is different than a monitoring procedure for the first message 2 control portion. The apparatus receives and decodes a random access message 2 control portion. The apparatus monitors for a random access message 2 data portion in response to decoding the random access message 2 control portion.

    Abstract: A configuration to suspend UE communication with a base station based on instructions from the base station. The apparatus receives, from a base station, a silencing instruction for at least one of uplink communication or downlink communication. The apparatus determines a first duration associated with the at least one of uplink communication or downlink communication based on the silencing instruction. The apparatus refrains from all of the at least one of uplink communication or downlink communication with the base station for the first duration in response to receiving the silencing instruction.

    Abstract: A configuration to enable a UE to determine a slot direction for communication with a base station while operating in half duplex FDD with carrier aggregation. The apparatus receives a first indication of a slot pattern for a plurality of slots associated with at least one component carrier assigned to the UE, wherein the first indication indicates that each of the plurality of slots is one of an uplink slot, a downlink slot, a special slot, or a flexible slot, and the plurality of slots includes a flexible slot. The apparatus receives, from the base station, a second indication indicating whether the flexible slot is the uplink slot or the downlink slot. The apparatus communicates with a base station based on at least one of the first indication or the second indication.

    Abstract: Aspects are provided which allow a first wireless device such as a UE or base station to prioritize beams which are simultaneously received from or transmitted to cells of different numerologies or which are asynchronous to each other. The device determines an overlap in time between a first signal from a first cell and a second signal from a second cell, where the second cell includes at least one of a different numerology than the first cell or an asynchronous timing relative to the first cell. The device applies a beam prioritization rule for selecting a beam associated with the first signal or the second signal carrying information in separate beams. The device transmits information to or receives information from a second wireless device based on the selected beam. Thus, simultaneous beam conflict resolution may be improved for cells having different numerologies or asynchronous timing.

    Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for facilitating layer 1 cross-carrier repetitions are disclosed herein. An example method for wireless communication includes determining a repetition configuration for semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) or a configured grant (CG) associated with a data transmission on a first entity and at least one repetition of the data transmission on a second entity. The example method also includes receiving the data transmission and the at least one repetition of the data transmission. The example method also includes combining the data transmission and the at least one repetition of the data transmission to decode the data transmission.
