    Abstract: A self-orienting audio system includes a master controller and a plurality of loudspeaker modules. Each module includes an audio input and a controller coupled to the audio input and loudspeaker. The master controller communicates with the plurality of loudspeaker modules. The master controller can determine a distance to each of the loudspeaker modules and assign an audio channel to each of the loudspeaker modules depending upon that distance. The master controller can be incorporated into one of the modules. Distance to each module can be determined using signal delay or signal magnitude.

    Abstract: A system and method for controlling media systems identified as co-located with one or more voice-command responsive devices. The disclosed technology is responsive to predetermined activation and/or deactivation phrases so as to control the audio output of the identified media systems and provide an improved sonic environment for a voice command to be properly received and interpreted by the voice-command responsive device(s).     Abstract: A system and method for determining if a user should be prohibited from accessing over-the-top ('ΌΤΤ") content in accordance with predetermined content restrictions within a media gateway appliance ("'MGA"). if the QTT source provides a restriction rating for the content, the rating is compared to content restrictions stored in the MGA to determine if access should be restricted. Access to restricted content will only be granted if the user provides the proper key code. Tins key code is the same one utilized for accessing restricted non-OTT content. If the QTT content has no associated rating, the content is analyzed to determine an equivalent rating. This equivalent rating is compared to content restrictions stored in the MGA to determine if access should be granted, or if entry of the key code will be required. User biometrics may also be utilized to further verify authorized users.
