Abstract:
A shaving head (3) comprises at least one cutting unit (4) in which an external cutting member (5) which has a function in contacting skin to be subjected to a shaving action is arranged, and which is suspended relative to a holder (8) of the shaving head (3) through suspension means. In particular, the suspension means comprise at least two pivot constructions, wherein one pivot construction enables a member (9) of the suspension means to be pivotable relative to the holder (8), and wherein another pivot construction enables the external cutting member (5) to be pivotable relative to the suspension member (9) as mentioned. Furthermore, a pivoting stiffness of a connection of the latter pivot construction is lower than a pivoting stiffness of the first pivot construction. In this way, good contour following performance is obtained at two levels, in both relatively small and relatively large curvature changing areas.

The machine comprises: a brewing unit (3); a water reservoir (7); a boiler (11) for the production of hot water to supply to the brewing unit; a coffee container (13); an electronic control unit (27); a user interface (33). At least one capacitive sensor (31) is associated to the coffee container to detect the quantity of residual coffee in the container (13). The sensor is connected to the electronic control unit, which is programmed to supply to a user by means of the interface at least a piece of information regarding the quantity of coffee in said container.
Abstract:
A display system comprises a display panel unit (103) and a control unit (101) coupled thereto using an interface (105) providing a main video data channel and an auxiliary data channel. A video signal is generated from an input video signal and transmitted to the display panel unit (103) using the main video data channel. Furthermore, the control unit (101) determines a backlight dimming setting in response to the input video signal and transmits it to the display panel unit (103) in the auxiliary control data channel. The interface video signal may comprise pixel values that are compensated for the backlight setting. The display panel unit (103) varies the backlight dependent on the backlight indication thereby providing a display system with efficient dynamic backlight dimming. The invention may allow a standardized interface to be used when distributing display functionality between different units and may allow lower complexity display panel units with reduced form factor to be manufactured.
Abstract:
A disconnecting circuit (SW1, RS, COM, CO) for a power converter (1) supplies power to a load device (LO; 2). The disconnecting circuit (SW1, RS, COM, CO) comprises a switch (SW1) arranged in series with the power converter (1) to disconnect a supply of power to the load device (LO, 2). A sense circuit (RS) supplies a sensed value indicating an operation mode of the load device (LO, 2). A controller (CO, COM) receives the sensed value to control the switch (SW1) to disconnect the supply of the power from the load device (LO, 2) when the sensed value drops below a reference level indicating a standby mode of the load device (LO, 2).
Abstract:
An optical reactor has a reactor enclosure defining a reaction chamber. In the reaction chamber, a light source operating at a very high frequency is arranged to radiate light to a fluid to be treated. A low voltage electrode is arranged to surround the light source. The light source is energized by a driving circuit which is arranged adjacent to the reactor enclosure. The driving circuit has a high voltage output terminal connected to a high voltage input terminal of the light source. The driving circuit has a low voltage output terminal which is connected to the low voltage electrode.
Abstract:
This invention relates to an ambience lighting system for a display device, where light sources are mounted at the periphery or at the rear side of the display device for emitting an ambience light onto a wall behind the display device. An input means receives color information indicating the color of the wall. A processor then adjusts the color of the emitted ambience light to the received color information of the wall such that the light reflected from the wall towards a viewing area of the display device matches the screen colors of the display device.
Abstract:
A light guide system (20) for controlling out-coupling of light is provided. The light guide system comprises a light guide (21) configured to receive ambient light from at least one light source (26), and emit spread ambient light from a surface thereon. The light guide system further comprises a reflector (22) provided with a number of protrusions (23). In use, the reflector (22) and the light guide (21) are attached together. An advantage of this embodiment is that a uniform light -radiating surface using a light guide is enabled.
