摘要: Holsters of conducted electrical weapons (CEW) comprise a set of magnetic elements. The set of magnetic elements may have positions, polarities, and magnitudes corresponding to types of holsters. The CEW uses sensors to detect one or more of the set of magnetic elements, indicating that the CEW is inserted into the holster. Based on the detected information, the CEW identifies when the CEW is removed from the holster. The CEW additionally uses the detected information to determine a type of holster.

摘要: An articulating joint for coupling an accessory to a support comprises a platform, a base, and a wedge. The platform couples to one of the support and the accessory, and the base couples to the other of the support and the accessory. The platform includes a hinge having a bore and teeth positioned radially around the bore. The base includes an undercut and a complementary hinge having a thru hole. The wedge includes complementary teeth positioned radially around a passageway and a ramp that cooperates with the undercut of the base. A shaft having a threaded portion engages a threaded insert to couple the hinge of the platform, the wedge, and the complementary hinge of the base. Rotating the shaft to a locked position causes the teeth of the platform to mesh with the complementary teeth of the wedge to retain the platform in an orientation relative to the base.

摘要: A unitary cartridge for a conducted electrical weapon (CEW) may include a cartridge body that stores an electrode, a piston, a propulsion module, and a propulsion module contact. To launch the electrode from the cartridge body, a signal may be sent from the CEW through a conductor disposed within the propulsion module. The signal may be configured to heat up the conductor and ignite a pyrotechnic material in the propulsion module to create a rapidly expanding gas. The rapidly expanding gas may move the piston to propel the electrode from the cartridge body and toward a target. A frangible cap may be disposed at one end of the cartridge body to retain the electrode in the cartridge body prior to launch.

摘要: Systems and methods for calibrating a tester that is used to calibrate conducted electrical weapons ("CEWs"). Providing a known magnitude of current for a calculated amount of time to a measurement capacitor stores a known amount of charge on the capacitor. The voltage corresponding to the known charge can be used to measure the amount of charge provided by a pulse of a stimulus signal while calibrating a CEW. A real-time clock may be used to ensure the accuracy of the time measurements over long time periods. Accurate measurement of resistors in a load circuit provides further tester accuracy.

The unique identifier may be used to select a configuration profile for configuring the operation of the recording device coupled to the mount. A recording device that is moved from one mount to another may receive a different profile in accordance with the identifier of the new mount to control the operation of the recording device while mounted to the new mount. A server may store, retrieve, and provide profiles to recording devices.

摘要: A conducted electrical weapon ("CEW") comprises one or more mechanisms for receiving, aligning, and maintaining a position of a magazine within a bay of the CEW. Bias spring and datums may be used to align the magazine to be coupled to the CEW, wherein bias springs are configured to apply pressure to push the magazine to interact with datums to align the magazine. A spring and ramp mechanism may be used to maintain a position of the magazine coupled to the bay of the CEW. Respective grades of a locking ramp and a release ramp are used to lock a spring in place when a magazine is coupled to the bay of the CEW.
