Abstract:
The present invention relates to human mesenchymal stem cell lines produced in serum-free and predominantly xenogeneic-free conditions. In particular, the invention relates to exosomes derived from such human mesenchymal stem cell lines and their use in the treatment of spinal cord injury.
Abstract:
Methods for adjusting the solubility of a botanical oil in water, along with the resulting modified botanical oil and related products (e.g., treatment compositions, wipes, absorbent articles, etc.)are provided. In one embodiment, the method includes reacting the botanical oil to form a reactive product (e.g., having a hydroxyl group); and attaching a hydrophilic end group (e.g., a carboxylic acid, a carboxylic acid salt, a sugar, etc.) on the reactive product to form a modified botanical oil. The modified botanical oil generally, in most embodiments, has a greater solubility in water than the botanical oil (e.g., a solubility in water of about 10 grams per 100 grams of water or greater, such as completely soluble in water). The botanical oil includes, in one particular embodiment, an essential oil, such as those essential oil that include at least one terpene compound.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to compositions having durable antimicrobial activity. The compositions include a carbonate/bicarbonate salt of a quaternary ammonium cation, an organic acid, hydrogen peroxide, a surfactant and a polymer. The polymer is selected from cationic amine polymer-epichlorohydrin adduct, cationic amine polymer- epichlorohydrin resin, poly(methacrylamidopropyltrimethylammonium) chloride, poly(bis(2-chloroethyl)ether-alt-1,3-bis(dimethylamino)propyl)urea, poly(diallyldimethyl- ammonium) chloride, poly(t-butyl acrylate co-ethyl acrylate co-methacrylic acid), polyethylene oxide, polyquaternium-16, polyquaternium-22, polyquaternium-67 and combinations thereof. The surfactant is selected from cationic surfactants, non-ionic surfactants, zwitterionic surfactants and combinations thereof.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a single phase temperature management composition. The composition includes from 0.01% to 10% by weight of a neurosensory agent and from 0.01% to30% by weight of an antiperspirant component. The composition also includes a polar carrier where the polar carrier includes water and monohydric alcohol. The ratio of water to monohydric alcohol ranges from 0.0625:1 to 1.5:1. The compositions of the invention have a viscosity at room temperatureof less than 2500 centipoise.

Abstract:
Wiping products, such as facial tissues, contain a temperature change composition that can provide a cooling sensation when contacted with the skin of a user. The temperature change composition includes a phase change material and a non-interfering molecular scaffold. The phase change materials, in one embodiment, can have a relatively high heat of fusion. When undergoing a phase change, the temperature change composition absorbs heat and thereby provides a cooling feeling or cooling sensation to the skin of a user.
Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to personal care compositions and personal care products. More particularly, the disclosure relates to personal care compositions and personal care products that impart perceivable aesthetic benefits of increased softness, quietness and drapability to the skin or hair of a user. To achieve the perceivable aesthetic benefit, a protonated skin aesthetic agent selected from fatty acids, fatty alcohols, fatty acid derivatives, fatty alcohol derivatives, and/or combinations thereof, may be incorporated into the personal care compositions and personal care products. To produce the liquid composition, a deprotonated skin aesthetic agent is first provided. The deprotonated skin aesthetic agent is added to an aqueous liquid solution. The aqueous liquid solution is then acidified with an acidifying agent to protonate the deprotonated skin aesthetic agent. Finally, the aqueous liquid solution is incorporated onto a wipe substrate.
Abstract:
A cleaning composition that can discharge the color of blood, menstrual fluids, or other organic stains is provided. In particular, the present invention achieves a balance between control of unwanted liquid spreading by lateral wicking on a stained textile fabric to lessen the size of wet spots and maintaining the cleaning efficacy of the composition by means of specific kinds of thickening agents. The composition includes an oxidizing agent such as peroxides, a cell-lysing agent, a chelating agent, an antioxidant, a thickener, and other optional ingredients that are selectively employed to achieve an aqueous based composition that exhibits good shelf stability and stain removal properties. The thickening agent may include a cellulosic or clay material, starch, gum, fatty acid, fatty alcohol, hydrophilic colloidal particles, polyoxyethylene glycol or polyoxyethylene glycol derivatives including fatty acid esters and ethers, or a combination thereof.
Abstract:
The present disclosure is directed to a cleanser including a balance of components for providing consumers with an enhanced exfoliation experience that smoothes skin immediately and sustains the smooth feeling for an extended period of time. Additionally, the cleanser provides a simultaneous cleansing and warming effect to the consumer?s skin. Particularly, in one embodiment, the cleanser includes a combination of a water soluble carrier, a warming agent, a water soluble silicone surfactant, and an exfoliant.
