Abstract: A sphere assembly comprises a set or network of curved and triangularly-shaped transparent panels (2) placing next to one another to form a spherical shape of a sphere (1), a set of project films (3) placing on the transparent panels, and a set of connectors (4) for connecting the adjacent curved transparent panels to one another. The sphere assemble may further be positioned on a frame, a stand, a base, or any other anchoring device or structure, so that the sphere assembly is held and placed in a secure and well-balanced position for any of the virtual reality (VR), augment reality (AR), or mixed reality (MR) gameplay or environment. The projection films can receive images or sensory cues from a set of projectors which project images from the VR, AR, or MR environment to the sphere assembly wherein the projectors may further connect upstream to at least one image processing module which receives and processes image information from a player's environment such as a headset, a controller, and other tracking sensors.

Abstract: A projector system (1) for spherical platform fundamentally comprises two components: 1) a first computer (3) for receiving inputs, processing the information received from the inputs, responding to or interacting with a player through various objects or equipment inside the environment, and transmitting the information to a real-time image projection module (11); and 2) a second computer (12) in the real-time image projection module (11) for receiving the transmitted information from the first computer (3) and transmitting the information to a set of projectors (13-16) in said module (11) for displaying the images being seen or experienced by the player (10) to the sphere (2). The second computer (12) which receives information from the first computer (3) may further comprise at least a set of two cameras (25-28) for at least for producing, processing, and projecting images and wherein each camera provides at least 30°field of view (FOV). These cameras (25-28) in the second computer (12) may further connect to and transmit image information to a set of corresponding projectors (13-16) for projecting images to at least one part of or the whole sphere, accordingly.
