The invention relates generally to treatments of disordered bony structures, in particular to vertebroplasty compositions and methods and, more specifically, to treating vertebral bodies in living creatures, in particular, human beings and also compositions suitable for use in such methods and preparation and use of such compositions. According to the invention the composition to be used is an addition curable polysiloxane system.

A device (10) for preparing and ejecting polymeric cement made from at least two pre-packaged components (48, 50) comprises a tubular vessel (12) including a first axial end wall (14) having a closed outlet (16), and a second axial end wall (18) having an aperture (20). A first starting component (50) of the polymeric cement is present inside said tubular vessel (12) near the first axial end wall (14). A hollow shaft (22) extends through said aperture (20) of the second axial end wall (18). A piston element (34) comprises a closed container (34) filled with a second starting component (48) of the polymeric cement. The piston element (34) is selectively lockable to the shaft (22). The container (36) has a bore (38) and is slidingly engaged upon said shaft (22). An agitator element (24) is secured to one end (26) of the shaft (22). Furthermore opening means (54) for providing an opening in the closed container (36) are provided. The hollow shaft (22) is provided with a gas permeable filter means (71).

Washing and cleaning product in the form of an effervescent tablet containing between 2 and 6% by weight of a washing product concentrate, 40-60% by weight NaHCO3, 33-53% per weight of a solid organic acid, in particular a 2/3 mixture of citric acid and tartaric acid, 1.5 to 2% by weight of a binder, in particular polyvinylpyrrolidone, and between 0.1 - 1.0% by weight of a lubricant as well as additional quantities of colloidal silicone dioxide. This effervescent cleaning tablet is particularly advantageous for use as a cleaning additive for windscreen washing systems of motor vehicles.
