Abstract:
An inhaler is proposed for delivering a preferably powdered formulation from a blister strip having a plurality of blister pockets. Each blister pockets is pierced such that an inlet opening and an outlet opening is formed in a lid of the respective blister pocket. A sealing is provided between the two openings and/or only around the outlet opening in order to avoid a bypass gas/air stream. Alternatively, a blister strip is proposed which comprises sealings on lids of its blister pockets.
Abstract:
An inhaler (10) comprising a housing (11) to receive a strip (14) having a plurality of blisters (14a), each blister having a puncturable lid (14c) and containing a dose of medicament for inhalation by a user, a mouthpiece (13) through which a dose of medicament is inhaled by a user, a cap (12) to cover the mouthpiece and, a blister piercing element (16) to pierce the lid of a blister is disclosed. The cap is rotatable to drive the strip to sequentially move each blister into alignment with the blister piercing element and, an actuator (18) operable in response to rotation of the cap to cause the blister piercing element to puncture the lid of an aligned blister such that, when a user inhales through the mouthpiece, an airflow through the blister is generated to entrain the dose contained therein and carry it out of the blister and via the mouthpiece into the user's airway.
Abstract:
An inhaler for delivery of a powder-form inhalation formulation from a blister strip with a plurality of blister pockets is proposed. A flexible guiding element receives the used blisters strip.
Abstract:
An inhaler is disclosed. It comprises a housing to receive an elongate strip of blisters each containing a dose of medicament and being sequentially movable into alignment with means for breaching a blister to enable a user to inhale said dose contained therein. The device comprises a spiral wound element (50) within the housing that receives and coils said strip of blisters that have been breached.

An inhaler is disclosed. It comprises a housing to receive an elongate strip of blisters each containing a dose of medicament and being sequentially movable into alignment with means for breaching a blister to enable a user to inhale said dose contained therein. The device comprises an unused and a used blister compartment separated by a wall which may be moulded integrally with the housing of the device.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to improved formulations for the treatment of premature ejaculation and, in particular, relates to the administration of antidepressants by pulmonary inhalation for treating premature ejaculation. Various types of known antidepressants may be used, including tricyclic antidepressants, such as clomipramine.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to enhancing the dosing efficiency of pharmaceutical dry powder formulations administered by pulmonary inhalation. In particular, the present invention relates to the provision of dry powder inhalers and dry powder compositions which reproducibly achieve a much higher delivered dose of the pharmaceutically active agent than currently achieved.
Abstract:
An inhaler (1) including a blister strip (2) is proposed. The unused blister strip is stored in a spiral (16). After use, the blister strip is conveyed into another spiral (17). Both spirals share a common space within the inhaler and may be separated by a loose guiding element (18). The spirals and the guiding element may comprise protrusions (19) to reduce sliding friction. Additionally or alternatively, a lubricant (31) may be used to reduce friction.
