Abstract:
A coupling system between the frame and the leg assembly of a workstation is described. The coupling system can be configured to selectively attach and detach the leg assembly from the frame. The leg assembly can include an adjustment mechanism. The adjustment mechanism, can be configured to adjust the length of the leg. The leg assembly can include a leg coupling feature and the frame can have a frame coupling feature. The leg coupling feature can be configured to engage with the frame coupling feature, for instance to attach the leg to the frame. The workstation can include a latch configured to engage with the leg assembly. Engagement of the latch with the leg assembly can secure a position of the leg with respect to the frame.
Abstract:
A height adjustable table can include a plurality of legs, a lower portion, a worksurface, a height adjustable surface, and a linkage. The worksurface can be supported by the plurality of legs and can include a fixed surface and a height adjustable surface. The fixed surface can be secured to at least one of the lower portion and the plurality of legs, and the fixed surface can define a recessed portion. The height adjustable surface can be movable between a raised position and a lowered position so that the height-adjustable surface retracts into the recessed portion when in the lowered position so that the height adjustable surface is coplanar with the fixed surface. The linkage can be configured to move the height adjustable surface between the lowered position and the raised position so that the height adjustable surface remains parallel to the fixed surface.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A lift system (100) including a bracket (102) configured to support an object, a support (108A, 108B) having a first end (106) and a second end (112), the first end being movably engaged to the bracket, at least one cam (118) engaged to the second end of the support, and a base (104) including a cam follower (120) configured to engage the at least one cam, and at least one bias element (124) having a first end (122) and a second end (126), the first end engaged to the cam follower.
Abstract:
A support system (10) with a locking mechanism for positioning and securing electronic equipment. The support system includes a base (50), a riser (60) coupled to the base, a support (70) coupled to the riser and a locking mechanism (100) positioned at a distal end of the riser. The locking mechanism includes a first block (110), a second block (120) and a fastener (130). The first block has a first aperture (112), a first inclined surface (114) and distal surface (116) including a lip (118). The second block comprising a second aperture (122) and a second inclined surface (124), wherein tightening the fastener slides the first block with respect to the second block, such that the first inclined surface wedges against the second inclined surface. Methods of locking a support to a riser using the locking mechanism.
Abstract:
Some embodiments provide a pivot mechanism and/or system (100) that includes a support member (102) defining a cavity (120) and an extension member (104) at least partially located within the cavity. In some cases one or more inner surfaces of the cavity can provide one or more pivots defining multiple pivot axes about which the extension member is generally pivotable through corresponding pivot ranges. The extent of the pivot ranges can be defined by the cavity within the support member. In some cases cooperating clamp members (106,108) engage the extension member and the support member to retain the extension member within the cavity. The clamp members may also include sliding surfaces (180) that slidingly engage with the support member to provide frictional resistance to pivoting movement of the extension member. Electronic display pivoting and positioning systems are also provided as are methods for positioning and pivoting electronic displays.
Abstract:
An interface system (10) for connecting an electronic display (25) to a support (40), the interface system (10) comprising: a display mounting bracket (20) having a projection (50) and an aperture (68) for receiving a connector (70) positioned below the projection (50); and a support bracket (30) having a groove (60) to receive the projection (50) and at least one slot (80) for receiving the connector (70) positioned below the groove (60), at least a portion of the slot (80) being aligned with the aperture (68) when the projection (50) is engaged with the groove (60).
Abstract:
An apparatus for positioning items such as an electronic display, a keyboard, and/or a work surface. The apparatus includes a movement mechanism (2020) that provides multiple tilt positions for one or more displays (2010) supported by the apparatus. In some cases the movement mechanism enables adjustment of the display (s) between a generally horizontal viewing configuration and a generally declining viewing configuration. In some cases the apparatus includes a keyboard tray (2004) and a display mount (2002) coupled to a riser (2006) adapted to support an electronic display. The riser may be movable with respect to an operator or support member between a sitting position and a standing position. Methods for positioning an electronic display and a keyboard are also included.
Abstract:
A convertible mounting system for selectively positioning a flat panel display on either a generally horizontal surface or a generally vertical surface. In some embodiments, the convertible mounting system includes a first mount portion and a second mount portion. The first mount portion cooperates with the second mount portion in a first orientation to position a flat panel display on a generally horizontal surface. The first mount portion also cooperates with the second mount portion in a second orientation to position the flat panel display on a generally vertical surface.
