Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A device may transmit first control signaling indicating a capability for switching between carriers of a group of carriers during uplink communications using carrier aggregation. The group of carriers include three or more carriers that are each associated with different radio frequency bands. The device may receive second control signaling that includes an indication for the device to switch to a subset of carriers of the group of carriers for transmission of an uplink message. The subset of carriers may be associated with a combination of radio frequency bands. The device may transmit the uplink message on at least one of the subset of carriers in accordance with a mapping between the combination of radio frequency bands and the at least one of the subset of carriers, where the mapping is based on the capability.

Abstract: A UE transmits UE capability information to a first base station on a first carrier. The UE capability information is associated with a CA switching period for a second carrier or is indicating a set of bands associated with CA bands of at least the second carrier. The first and second carriers belong to different TAGs. The UE switches from communicating on the first carrier associated with a first TA of a first TAG to communicating on the second carrier associated with a second TA of a second TAG. The first TAG is different from the second TAG. The first TA is greater than the second TA. The second carrier is associated with the CA switching period or the set of bands associated with the CA bands. The UE communicates with a second base station on the second carrier based on the transmitted UE capability information.

Abstract: A reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) may include multiple sub-RIS, and the base station may configure the RIS and the multiple sub-RIS with RIS sync raster including multiple center frequencies. The RIS may be configured to simultaneously apply different water-markings and reflect the incident beam into different beams in different directions. The base station may perform a beam-sweeping by transmitting synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) on multiple SSB beams, and the RIS may receive one SSB beam of the multiple SSB beams and reflect the SSB beams on the RIS sync raster. A UE may be configured to monitor the base sync raster and the RIS sync raster for a suitable SSB beam, and transmit a feedback report to the base station indicating the suitable beam. The base station may configure the RIS based on the feedback report received from the base station for beam management.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for switching configurations for uplink transmission switching. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity such as a base station, a switching configuration for an uplink transmission switching for three or more carriers. The switching configuration may be associated with switching one or more uplink transmission chains of the UE from or to one or more carriers of the three or more carriers within a time period. The switching configuration may be associated with a UE capability. The switching configuration may permit switching from or to one carrier within the time period associated with the UE capability. The switching configuration may permit switching from or to two carriers within the time period associated with the UE capability. The switching configuration may depend on the UE capability, thereby not causing the uplink transmission switching to degrade a performance of the UE.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to beam sweeping with controllable reflective surfaces in the presence of co-located base stations of different network operators. A first base station that is co-located at a site with a second base station may perform a first beam sweep. The first beam sweep includes transmitting a plurality of directional beams. The first base station further transmits a control signal to a controllable reflective surface to control the controllable reflective surface to reduce a likelihood of a redirection of a directional beam of a potential second beam sweep by the second base station towards a user equipment associated with the second base station. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may support two or more uplink switching periods for transmit chain switching. The UE may transmit a UE capability message indicating the UE capability to support a first uplink switching period and a second uplink switching period for transmit chain switching. The first uplink switching period and the second uplink switching period may each correspond to different switching periods associated with configuration switches between different transmit chain configurations of the UE. The UE and a base station may select an uplink switching period from among the first uplink switching period and the second uplink switching period. The UE may transmit an uplink data message to the base station after a preparation time that is based on the uplink switching period.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a technique for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE). The UE implements the technique to send a random access channel (RACH) preamble to a network entity. The UE receives a random access response (RAR) message indicating a transmit power control (TPC) command value from the network entity. The UE sends an uplink message to the network entity in response to the RAR message. The uplink message is sent with a number of repetitions based on the TPC command value, a transmit power constraint of the UE, and a rule.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, downlink control information (DCI) that triggers one or more aperiodic sounding reference signal (SRS) resource sets. The UE may determine that a candidate slot is an available slot associated with the one or more aperiodic SRS resource sets based at least in part on available information at a timestamp of the candidate slot, and one or more of a radio resource control (RRC) configuration or dynamic event information. The UE may transmit, to the base station, an aperiodic SRS using the one or more aperiodic SRS resource sets of the available slot. Numerous other aspects are described.
