Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for transmitting and receiving a signal in a communication system are provided. The method includes checking a type of the signal to be transmitted;; determining a number of puncture bits according to the type of the signal; and puncturing an encoded signal to be transmitted according to the number of puncture bits.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to power saving in a radio receiver of a device. The radio receiver is adapted to receive a sequence of subframes via a radio channel. The radio receiver is operated in a no-data micro-sleep mode, in which the radio receiver is turned on for reception for a duration of a first section of a respective subframe of the sequence, and is turned off for a duration of a second section of the respective subframe of the sequence. The no-data micro- sleep mode comprises a reduced micro-sleep submode and a maximum micro-sleep submode. The duration of the first section of a given subframe in the maximum micro-sleep submode is equal to or shorter than the first section of a given subframe in the reduced micro-sleep submode.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for transmitting and receiving data in a wireless communication is provided. The method includes determining a number of zero-padding bits, determining a number (Npad) of bit groups in which all bits are padded with zeros, padding the all bits within 0th to (Npad-1)th bit groups indicated by a shortening pattern with zeros, mapping information bits to bit positions which are not padded in Bose Chaudhuri Hocquenghem (BCH) information bits, BCH encoding the BCH information bits to generate Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) information bits, and LDPC encoding the LDPC information bits to generate a zero-padded codeword, wherein the shortening pattern is defined as an order of bit groups defined as 6, 5, 4, 9, 3, 2, 1, 8, 0, 7, 10 and 11.

Abstract:
An automatic flow regulator valve (10) designed to regulate water pressure from a liquid source outlet in the event of pressure surges and/or fluctuations. In an "open" position, the predetermined water flow pressures are not sufficient to overcome a spring force of a spring ( 130). Therefore, a sealing plate (102) is maintained separated from a step (36) by the spring force, thus allowing water to flow around the outermost perimeter edge of sealing plate (102). In operation under water flow pressure surges and/or fluctuations, the automatic flow regulator valve (10) is "closed". In the "closed" position, the water flow pressure surges and/or fluctuation pressures are sufficient to overcome the force of spring (130). Therefore, the sealing plate (102) is biased against the step (36) and the water does not flow around the outermost perimeter edge of sealing plate (102). Instead, water only flows through hole (104).
Abstract:
An enhanced Node B (eNB) for precoding is generally described. In some embodiments, a first precoding-matrix indicator (PMI) and a second PMI is received on an uplink channel from user equipment (UE). Symbols for multiple-input multiple output (MIMO) beamforming may be precoded by the eNB using a precoder matrix recommended by the first and second PMIs, for a MIMO downlink orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) transmission. The first PMI and the second PMI are calculated by selecting a representative codeword that is indexed by i1 and i2 for a plurality of 2TX constituent beams indexed by k to define, from the plurality of 2TX constituent beams, the 2TX constituent beam that provides the best system evaluation metric. The i1 index for wideband and the i2 index for each subband are identified from the defined 2TX constituent beam.
