Abstract:
A process is disclosed for preparing amines by hydrogenating compounds with at least 3 cyano groups prepared by adding acrylonitrile to ammonia or primary amines at temperatures from 80 to 200 DEG C and pressures from 5 to 500 bars. Hydrogenation is carried out continuously on a catalyst that contains 80 to 98 % by weight cobalt oxide, 1 to 10 % by weight manganese oxide, 1 to 10 % by weight phosphorus pentoxide and 0 to 5 % by weight alkali metal oxides.
Abstract:
Compounds have the general formula (I) Z[-Y -(A-Y )m-X]n, in which the variables have the following meanings: Z stands for an n-valent aliphatic residue with 2 to 20 C atoms or for an n-valent three to seven-membered saturated or unsaturated carbocyclic or heterocyclic residue that may also be benzocyclised, or for an n-valent siloxane or cyclosiloxane residue with up to 10 Si atoms; Y , Y stand for a chemical bond, oxygen, sulphur or a group -CO-O-, -O-CO-, -N(R)-CO- or -CO-N(R)-; m equals 0 or 1; A stands for an alkylene group with 2 to 20 C atoms in which non-adjacent C atoms may be substituted by oxygen, sulphur, -CO-O-, -O-CO- or -N(R)-; n equals 2 to 6; R stands for hydrogen or C1-C4-alkyl; and X stands for a substituted triphenylene residue. Because they recur n times in the compounds, A, Y , Y , m and X may be the same or different. These compounds are useful as charge carriers.

Polymer cross-linkable by energy-rich radiation, containing 0.1 to 50 wt % in relation to the polymer of 2,3-dihydrofurane groups or derivatives thereof, calculated each time as 2,3-dihydrofurane.
Abstract:
Polymers obtainable by the polymerisation or copolymerisation of 2,7-dioxabicyclo[3,2,1]octane derivatives of the formula (I), in which X, X', Y, Y', Z and Z' are mutually independently a C1-C2 hydrocarbon radical or an H atom.
Abstract:
A process for producing coatings of the moulded articles by radiation hardening is characterised in that radiation-hardenable materials, which contain a quantity equivalent to 1-100 wt.% (of the total quantity of cationically and optionally radically polymerisable compounds) of alpha -substituted vinyl ethers with at least one vinyl ether group of formula (I) in which R stands for a C1-C10 alkyl group or a C5-C10 aryl group or C5-C10 cycloalkyl group, are irradiated with high-energy light.
Abstract:
The use of an amine with an average pKs of 1 to 14 as a washing power enhancer, preferably in textile detergents, especially for washing coloureds, and detergent formulations containing said amines.
Abstract:
Low-molecular or polymer organic compounds available in a column-shaped helical phase with liquid crystal properties are useful as photoconductors or in electronic components. Also disclosed are photoconductive layers containing the same, an electrophotographic recording material and a process for increasing photoconductivity.
Abstract:
The invention concerns electroluminescent devices including one ore more organic layers, one or more of the layers containing liquid-crystalline charge-transport compounds.
