Abstract:
The invention concerns a ladder with strings (1, 2), of which at least one string (1) can be varied in length by an extension device (6) in order to adapt the ladder to sloping support surfaces. The ladder further comprises an adjusting device and has a plurality of apertures, depressions or recesses. A locking member (5), provided with an actuating device, is guided through the string (1) and can be selectively inserted and removed with its first end, which is remote from the actuating device, into and from the apertures, depressions or recesses. The locking member (5) is also guided through another string (2) on which the actuating device is disposed. The actuating device is supported on the string (2) and co-operates with the second locking end.
Abstract:
A motor vehicle door lock or the like has a housing (1) which contains a pawl (2) for a latch (3), and a force transmission chain (7) which extends from an outer handle of the door and preferably also from an inner handle of the door to the pawl (2) for actuating the pawl (2), triggering the latch (3) and opening the vehicle door. A controller (11) arranged in the housing (1) or optionally in its own housing has the settings "locked", "unlocked", and optionally "anti-theft" and "child-proof locked". The setting "locked" opens the force transmission chain (7) to the door outer handle and closes it to the door inner handle, the setting "unlocked" closes the force transmission chain (7) to the outer and inner door handles, the setting "anti-theft" opens the force transmission chain (7) to the outer and inner door handles and the setting "child-proof locked" closes the force transmission chain (7) to the outer door handle but opens it to the inner door handle. The controller (11) has a control disk (12). This motor vehicle door lock is considerably simplified, as far as the controller is concerned, in that the control disk (12) has several control cams (13, 14, 15, 16) distributed around its circumference for the various settings, and in that the force transmission chain (7) has a control section (17). In each position of the control disk (12), a control cam (13; 14; 15; 16) interacts with the force transmission chain (7) in the control section and triggers the corresponding function.
Abstract:
The object of the invention is a locking wedge for a motor vehicle door lock or the like with a wedge support plate (2) to be fixedly attached to a carrier metal sheet (1) and a wedge element (3) mounted on the wedge support plate (2), said wedge element engaging when assembled to operate with a latch bolt (4) of the motor vehicle door lock or the like, and optionally with an elastomer arrangement (5). For improved adaptation to the various requirements during normal operation and during a crash, provision is therefore made for the wedge element (3) to be supported to move relatively to a certain extent to the wedge support plate (2) when assembled. It is particularly important that the locking wedge is dynamic, i.e. the wedge element (3) is mounted on the wedge support plate (2) at two bearing points at a distance from each other, the wedge element (3) can be pivoted about an axis perpendicular to the wedge support plate at the one bearing point with rear leg (12) and can be shifted at the other bearing point with a front leg (13), in a corresponding curved track (14).
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to a slide ring seal, especially a slide ring seal for a housing, comprising a counter-ring that can be connected to a rotary shaft in a fixed and sealed manner, and two slide rings between which the counter-ring is coaxially arranged, said rings being provided with slide surfaces such that the rings can rotate in relation to each other in a sealed manner. At least one channel (12) extending especially in the radial direction is arranged in the counter-ring (10), one opening of said channel being oriented towards the shaft (W) and the other opening being fluidically connected to a retaining chamber. The invention also relates to a slide ring seal comprising a counter-ring that can be connected to a rotary shaft in a fixed and sealed manner, and two slide rings between which the counter-ring is coaxially arranged, said rings being provided with slide surfaces such that the rings can rotate in relation to each other in a sealed manner. The counter-ring and the slide rings are covered by an annular housing which is coaxially arranged in relation to the rings, the rotation of said housing in relation to the rings being prevented by a locking element. Said locking element comprises at least one rod (14) on which an abutment element (17) comprising an abutment surface is rotatably arranged, the abutment surface co-operating with a flat counter-abutment (18).

Abstract:
A motor vehicle door lock or the like has a housing (1) or a lock bearing plate, a rotary latch (2) with a jaw (3) for a locking wedge (4) or lock bolt and a pawl (7) for locking the rotary latch (2) in a locking position which corresponds to the closed motor vehicle door. Several complementary measures are proposed which can be applied together or separately to optimise the locking elements - rotary latch (2) and pawl (7). A differentiated positioning of the rotary latch (2) and pawl (7) is particularly significant. The material, shape and/or mounting of the swivelling axis (10) of the rotary latch (2) or of the swivelling axis (20) of the pawl (7) are designed for normal operation conditions. However, in the event of tearing up forces which are considerably higher than the normal operation conditions (crash), the rotary latch (2) or pawl (7) can be displaced in such a way that a substantial proportion of the tearing up forces can be absorbed by the supporting area of a recess (11) which contains the rotary latch (2) or of a recess (21) which contains the pawl (7).
Abstract:
The object of the invention is a motor vehicle door lock, bonnet lock or the like with a rotating latch bolt (2) with a receiving recess (3) for a locking wedge (14) or locking bolt, with a detent surface (6) on a main catch and optionally with a detent surface (6') on an auxiliary catch, with a pivotably mounted detent pawl (7) which is prestressed by a spring member or the like in the direction of engagement, and has a counter detent surface (9) used to engage so as to lock in the main catch or in the auxiliary catch with the detent surface (6) on the rotating latch bolt (2). The detent pawl (7) is preferably in the form of a toggle joint and has a detent lever (10) supporting the counter detent surface (9) and a pivotably mounted support lever (11) which are coupled so as to bend towards each other, via a joint with an articulation axle (13) parallel to the pivoting axle (12) of the support lever (11), and the detent pawl (7) when in the locked position is biassed into the extension position by the action of the resilient force of the spring member (8). Moreover, said motor vehicle door lock is designed in such a way that the detent surface (6) on the rotating latch bolt (2) and the counter detent surface (9) on the detent pawl (7) are divided into a plurality of partial surfaces (14) which are engaged with each other when in the locked position. An independent way of resolving the problem of realising such a mechanism is characterised in that an additional spring member (15) is arranged on the detent pawl (7) and is stressed by an actuation shape (16) associated with the main catch, against the rotating latch bolt (2) while said rotating latch bolt (2) is being pulled over, optionally already before the beginning of said pulling over movement, in such a manner that it acts with spring force upon the detent pawl (7) in the direction of bending.
