Abstract: A method of navigating a plurality of vehicles along a roadway includes, at a first vehicle, navigating along a section of a roadway by following a first moving position-target, the first moving position-target determined in accordance with a first tracking function defining position along the section of the roadway as a function of time, and at a second vehicle, navigating along the section of the roadway by following a second moving position-target, the second moving position-target determined in accordance with a second tracking function defining position along the section of the roadway as a function of time. A distance between the first vehicle and the second vehicle may change as the first vehicle and the second vehicle navigate along the section of the roadway.

Abstract: Embodiments of a backlit keyboard assembly are described. A keycap (202) assembly is mounted into a case web (104) having intersecting ribs. A flange (210), which can be angled, is on the bottom perimeter of the keycap (202) and a correspondingly shaped flange (212) is on each rib of the case web (104). An overlap of the keycap flange (210) and the case web flanges (212) prevents direct sighting of the backlight light source (208) and also provides a more evenly distributed halo around the keycap (202), thereby improving both aesthetics and functionality by providing better light control and contrast.

Abstract: Electronic devices may use touch pads that have touch sensor arrays, force sensors, and actuators for providing tactile feedback. A touch pad may be mounted in a computer housing. The touch pad may have a rectangular planar touch pad member that has a glass layer covered with ink and contains a capacitive touch sensor array. Force sensors may be mounted under each of the four corners of the rectangular planar touch pad member. The force sensors may be used to measure how much force is applied to the surface of the planar touch pad member by a user. Processed force sensor signals may indicate the presence of button activity such as press and release events. In response to detected button activity or other activity in the device, actuator drive signals may be generated for controlling the actuator. The user may supply settings to adjust signal processing and tactile feedback parameters.

Abstract: A method of assigning a vehicle to a trip request in a transportation system including a plurality of vehicles configured to autonomously navigate along a roadway may include receiving, at a dispatch server system of the transportation system, a trip request. The trip request may include an origin location, a destination location, and a requested vehicle arrival time. The method may further include identifying a subset of vehicles from the plurality of vehicles, each respective vehicle in the identified subset of vehicles having sufficient energy to travel from the origin location to the destination location and having a respective estimated time of arrival at the origin location corresponding to a time at which the origin location is predicted to have available boarding capacity. The method may further include choosing, from the subset of vehicles, a selected vehicle having an earliest estimated time of arrival at the origin location.
