There is provided an adapter for adapting an electronic device to a modular electronic device system. The adapter generally has a housing having two lateral edges, a cavity between the lateral edges and being adapted to receive the electronic device, each of the two lateral edges of the housing having at least one magnetic coupler electrically connectable with at least one magnetic coupler of the modular electronic device system by magnetically engaging the at least one magnetic coupler of the adapter with the at least one magnetic coupler of the modular electronic device system, and an internal electric conductor network electrically connected to the magnetic couplers of the adapter and electrically connected to an internal connector which is electrically connectable to the electronic device when received in the cavity of the housing.

In an embodiment, a dielectric substrate comprises an unsintered polytetrafluoroethylene; and a high dielectric constant filler, wherein the dielectric constant of the high dielectric constant filler is greater than or equal to 35; wherein the dielectric substrate has a specific gravity of greater than or equal to 90% of a calculated theoretical density of the dielectric substrate, wherein the theoretical specific gravity is calculated based on a measured specific gravity of the high dielectric constant filler, the specific gravity of the unsintered polytetrafluoroethylene, and the relative weight fractions of the unsintered polytetrafluoroethylene and the high dielectric constant filler; and wherein the dielectric substrate has a dielectric constant of greater than or equal to 11.5 as determined at a frequency of 10 GHz.

The disclosure relates to a method for gathering information for providing personalised augmented information, specifically augmented location information, the method comprising: providing a display arrangement; providing a portable communication device; detecting presence of the portable communication device in the vicinity of the display arrangement; establishing a communications link between the display arrangement and the communication device; assessing if a piece of information concerning the user's identified intentions pertains to a specific location within the environment or a specific resource or a specific person; and displaying on said display arrangement said first information and a second information, the second information comprising an identifier associated with the specific location, resource or person. The method includes the steps of detecting a folded state, wherein the first body is folded to the second body, displaying a first interface on a side display area, wherein the first interface is configured of a first part and a second part and includes multiple objects, detecting a first control input configured to select a first object included in the first interface, and displaying a first application respective to the first object, when a first triggering signal configured to shift the portable device from the folded state to an unfolded state is detected.

A request from the docking station to perform an action related to a portable computing device is received, and a rule associated with the portable computing device from a policy database is fetched. A determination is made whether to perform the action, and in the event that an action is to be performed, an instruction is transmitted to perform the action on the docking station.

Mobile computing devices that include an exterior housing and a port. The housing is configured to form a guide portion of the port. More particularly, the port includes a cavity formed in the housing. The cavity includes interior walls that extend inward from an exterior wall of the housing. The port further includes a connector that is positioned in the cavity. The connector is positioned such that the walls of the cavity form the guide of the connector. The port is further constructed to prevent the ingress of water and/or debris into an interior of the housing.
