Abstract:
A modular furniture system composed from reconfigurable interlocking panels using corresponding slot and tab elements is disclosed. The ready-to-assemble furniture system includes a complementary arrangement of non-interlocking interior panels that become secured into position through the means of interlocking exterior side and end panels. The configuration of interlocking and non-interlocking panels hides the joinery formed by the slot and tab elements, and further utilizes selectively movable and/or detachable panels to conceal the contents of storage compartments.
Abstract:
Disclosed are compounds having a monoterpenoid and/or phenylpropanoid moiety and methods of their making and use as pesticidal compounds, such as insecticidal baits.
Abstract:
Embodiments of a new foamed surface covering are disclosed, wherein a primary layer of polymeric foam features at least one coherent layer consisting of a water-resistant blend of styrene-maleic anhydride and acrylic resin. The coherent layer facilitates the secured and reusable application of the surface covering after repeated washings.
Abstract:
A book cover (20), which may be formed or molded from an elastomeric polymer material, has pocket portions for receiving the covers (20) of a book (10). The pocket portions may form an elliptically shaped access slot (25) that eases insertion of the covers (20) into the pocket portion. The access slot (25) may be aligned with and parallel to the spine of the book (10) and contain recesses (23) to engage the top and bottom of the spine in a spine locking engagement. The peripheral edges (11) of the book cover, and also the edges (11) of the access slot (25), may be reinforced, such as by thickening the material at these locations, for increased strength. The book cover (20) may have various visual effects or indicia, and may be textured or patterned, which may increase the grip of the book cover (20).
Abstract:
The present invention is a book cover and a method of manufacturing thereof that requires less fabric than conventional covers and uses seaming/fastening on the inside of the cover in a manner that allows for better stress distribution. The stretchable book cover is formed from a pliable material and has an outer panel portion for covering a front cover, a back cover, and a spine portion of a book; four folded-in edge panel portions, which include a first side edge panel, a second side edge panel, a top edge panel, and a bottom edge panel; and at least one fabric strap for connecting the top edge panel to said bottom edge panel, forming a pair of apertures, permitting insertion of the front and back covers of the book into the cover such that the book cover does not have any seams coincident with any of edges of the book.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed toward a folder having at least one pocket with entertainment functionality. The outer and inner sides of the front, back and/or divider panels serve as display layers comprising a variety of interactive audio/visual stimuli enabling elements such as picture graphics, illuminated picture sections and/or sound recording or playing systems.

Abstract:
A surface covering that is a multilayered composite material. The multilayer composite material includes a top facing layer of polymeric film and a bottom layer of unsupported foam.
