A method of forming an implant for volumetrically altering, replacing, expanding, or augmenting body tissues including an elastomeric membrane at least partially enclosing an interior volume is provided. The method includes forming an outer zone of the elastomeric membrane by casting in a mold, wherein an inner surface of the mold comprises one or more textured portions which are molded onto an exterior surface of the outer zone, thereby forming one or more molded textured portions on the exterior surface of at least one elastomeric layer of the outer zone. The method further includes expanding the at least one elastomeric layer of the outer zone and forming an expanded zone of the elastomeric membrane within the expanded outer zone. The method further includes forming an adjustable implant from the elastomeric membrane, wherein the exterior surface of the implant includes one or more molded textured portions.

Composite panels and methods of preparation are described herein. In some embodiments, the composite panel can include a first fiber reinforcement, a polyurethane composite having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, wherein the first surface is in contact with the first fiber reinforcement; and a cementitious material adjacent the first fiber reinforcement opposite the polyurethane composite. The polyurethane composite can be formed from (i) one or more isocyanates selected from the group consisting of diisocyanates, polyisocyanates, and mixtures thereof, (ii) one or more polyols, and (iii) a particulate filler. The fiber reinforcement can be formed from a woven or non-woven material, such as glass fibers. The composite panel can further include a material, such as a second fiber reinforcement and a cementitious layer, in contact with the second surface of the polyurethane composite. Articles comprising the composite panels are also disclosed.

A heat spreading and insulating material using densified foam is provided that has a heat spreader that is adhered to an insulating layer. The material is designed to be used with mobile devices that generate heat adjacent to heat sensitive components. The insulating layer is formed from a compressed layer of polyimide foam to increase its density. The polyimide foam retains a significant amount of insulating properties through the densification process. In some embodiments, an EMI shielding layer is added to improve electrical properties of the device. The heat spreader is commonly a graphite material with anisotropic heat properties that preferentially conduct heat in-plane. The material may also include pressure sensitive layers to permanently apply the material to the mobile device.

Die beiden nicht vom treibmittelhaltigen Schaumstoff umschlossenen Enden der jeweiligen Faser (F) ragen somit aus einer Seite des entsprechenden Formkörpers heraus. Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist außerdem der Formköper als solcher. Ein weiterer Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist ein Paneel, das mindestens einen solchen Formkörper, hergestellt nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren, sowie mindestens eine weitere Schicht (S1) umfasst. Außerdem Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist die Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Paneele sowie deren Verwendung, beispielsweise als Rotorblatt in Windenergieanlagen.
