Abstract: A hinge for pivot roof windows, according to the present invention, comprises two hinge parts, one hinge part (A) secured to a window frame, and the other hinge part (B) secured to the side member of a sash frame. Each hinge part has a base plate (1A, 1B) fitted with securing means (2) and with means (4, 6) for performing pivoting of the base plates (1A, 1B) relative to each other, at the same time a hinge is equipped with at least one fastening unit comprising an arm (9), being an extension of the base plate and a slidable fastener (11) with a hole (13) perpendicular to the fastener slide direction secured to the arm (9) and a securing member (14) secured in parallel to the fastener slide direction. If a hinge has only one fastening unit (9, 10), which constitutes a part of one base plate (1A, 1B), the other base plate is equipped with the known fixed fastener.
