Abstract: A ferrule type, flareless fitting is provided that may optionally be pulled-up to its assembled condition by torque rather than by turns. In one embodiment, at least one fitting component includes a structure that facilitates pull-up by torque and allows the fitting to be remade. The structure may take a wide variety of different forms. Examples of fitting component structures that facilitate pull-up by torque and allow the fitting to be remade include, but are not limited to, deformable or compressible devices (202) or structures that are configured to increase the torque required to further tighten the fitting components when the fitting is properly pulled up, resiliently deformable structures that bias a tube gripping device into engagement with a conduit when the fitting is remade to an initial pull-up position, and plastically deformable retaining structures that maintain a tube gripping device in sealing en a ement with a conduit when a fittin is disassembled.

Abstract: A tamper-resistant pressure regulator (10) is provided in which a cover (24) is mechanically coupled to an Actuator adjustment assembly (14) whereby removal of the cover causes a change in the regulator pressing setting. The actuator adjustment assembly (14) includes disk (26), a spring (28) and a spring plate (30). The regulator pressure is set by adjusting the amount of compression of the spring (28), in particular by changing the axial position of the actuator disk (26) and spring plate (30) by inserting a tool on the tool interface (36) through the hole cap (38). Since the cover (24) and the actuator disk (26) are coupled by threads (32, 34), the cover cannot be repositioned without to change the setting pressure, thus allowing such change or tampering to be detected after the fact.

Abstract: A fitting for a conduit has a first fitting component adapted to receive the conduit end; a conduit gripping device such as a ferrule or ferrules (130, 132) , and a second fitting component (112) that can be joined to the first fitting component (124) to cause the conduit gripping device to grip the conduit (T) and seal when assembled. In one aspect of the invention, a portion of the second fitting component (112) at least partially retains the conduit gripping device (130, 132) . The retaining portion can also be configured to retain the conduit gripping device to the second fitting component prior to installation and in a finger-tight condition. Abstract: A ball valve includes a valve element (22) and a single piece packing (32) that seals the valve element within a valve cavity (20). The single piece packing is installed over the valve element at room temperature or may be molded thereon. The valve element may include a flow control element such as a ball (24) and upper (28) and lower (30) trunnions.
