Abstract:
Various embodiments concern positioning. The method comprises receiving information relating to radio fingerprint of an apparatus from at least two apparatuses (103); determining estimated positions of said at least two apparatuses according to received information (104); selecting an apparatus from said at least two apparatuses (105); requesting information relating to position of the selected apparatus (106); and iterating the steps for determining, selecting and requesting until estimated positions are determined to be reliable (104-109). In a method for sharing information between devices for positioning purposes nearby device names are scanned and an own name field is modified so that the name field contains information on the scanned nearby device names.

Abstract:
A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to facilitate the determination of the environmental context of a mobile terminal. In this regard, the method, apparatus and computer program product may utilize the features obtained by a plurality of different types of radio receivers in order to more precisely determine the environmental context of the mobile terminal. The performance of the mobile terminal including applications executed by the mobile terminal may correspondingly be more accurately tailored to the current environmental context of the mobile terminal.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a method comprising receiving identifier data relating to a communication network; examining a set of identifier data to identify number of different identifier data in the set of location data; on the basis of the examining determining a status of an apparatus; and if the examining indicates that the status of the apparatus is a first state, examining context data relating to the first state to determine the current context of the apparatus. There is also disclosed a computer program comprising computer-executable program code portions stored therein, comprising program code instructions for performing the method. There is further disclosed an apparatus comprising a processor and a memory including computer program code, the memory and the computer program code configured to, with the processor, cause the apparatus to performing the method.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses are provided for context determination. A method may include determining a location identifier. The location identifier may be indicative of a location of an apparatus. The method may further include determining a location cluster based at least in part on the location identifier. The method may additionally include determining a first probability for each of one or more contexts based at least in part on the determined location cluster. The method may also include determining a context of the apparatus based at least in part on the determined first probability. Corresponding apparatuses are also provided.
Abstract:
Words in a sequence of words that is obtained from speech recognition of an input speech sequence are presented to a user, and at least one of the words in the sequence of words is replaced, in case it has been selected by a user for correction. Words with a low recognition confidence value are emphasized; alternative word candidates for the at least one selected word are ordered according to an ordering criterion; after replacing a word, an order of alternative word candidates for neighboring words in the sequence is updated; the replacement word is derived from a spoken representation of the at least one selected word by speech recognition with a limited vocabulary; and the word that replaces the at least one selected word is derived from a spoken and spelled representation of the at least one selected word.
Abstract:
The invention relates to media tagging of a media content. At least one media tag is determined on the basis of obtained context recognition data formed prior to and after a time point of capturing of the media content. Determined at least one media tag is associated with said media content.
Abstract:
Various embodiments relate to a context recognition. Classification of a context is performed by using features received from at least one sensor of a client device, and model parameters being defined by a training data to output a result and a likelihood of the context. The result is shown to the user, who provides feedback regarding the result. The features, result, likelihood, and the feedback are stored, whereby the model parameters are adapted using the features, result, likelihood and the feedback to obtain adapted model parameters. The result, likelihood and the feedback can also be used for performing confidence estimation to obtain a confidence value. The confidence value can then be used for performing an action, e.g. adding a new sensor, adding a new feature, changing a device profile, launching an application.
Abstract:
A method, devices, computer program products and an internet service is disclosed for adapting a context model. In the method a media clip is received. Also sensor data captured at least partly when the media clip was captured is received. A context is derived using a context model based at least partly on the sensor data and an indication on the context is provided to a user. Feedback on the relevance of the context is received from the user. Based on the feedback, the context model may then be adapted.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a method in an apparatus comprising receiving sensor data extracted from one or more physical sensors, using the extracted sensor data and a context model to perform a first level context determination, and examining the at least one condition. If the examining indicated that the at least one condition was fulfilled the context model is adapted on the basis of the sensor data, otherwise adaptation data formed on the basis of the sensor data is provided to a second level context determination. There is also disclosed an apparatus comprising means for receiving sensor data extracted from one or more physical sensors, means for using the extracted sensor data and a context model to perform a first level context determination, and means for examining at least one condition. The apparatus is configured to adapt the context model on the basis of the sensor data if the examining indicated that the at least one condition was fulfilled, otherwise to provide adaptation data formed on the basis of the sensor data to a second level context determination. There is also disclosed a computer program product comprising at least one computer-readable storage medium having computer-executable program code portions stored therein, comprising program code instructions for performing the method.
