Abstract:
A seal assembly for sealing an interface between a structure having a side wall having an opening therein and a slide-out compartment that may be extended and retracted through the opening includes a first channel attached to the side wall and a complementary second channel attached to the compartment. The first channel includes a pair of wiper seals. The second channel is movable with respect to the first channel such that a flange of the second channel may be received within an interior of the first channel in engagement with the pair of wiper seals.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a swing down jack (20) for mounting to a vehicle to elevate the vehicle. The jack includes a mounting bracket (36) and a leg (19). The leg includes an outer tube (22) pivotally connected to the bracket along a first pivot axis, and an inner tube (24) telescopically arranged within the outer tube. The jack further includes an actuator (60) pivotally connected to the bracket along a second pivot axis laterally spaced from the first pivot axis so as to swing the outer tube between a generally horizontal and a generally vertical position and extend and retract the inner tube upon respective extension and retraction of the actuator. A detent lock (47) is connected to the bracket and engageable with the outer tube so as to help fix the jack in the vertical position.
Abstract:
An apparatus for moving a slide-out room disposed in an aperture of a side wall of a vehicle from a retracted position to an extended position in a drive direction. The apparatus includes a drive assembly supported by the side wall of the vehicle and a driven assembly driven by the drive assembly. The driven assembly is connected to a wall of the slide-out room such that the slide-out room moves with the driven assembly from the retracted position to the extended position in the drive direction and the driven assembly is movable in a transverse direction generally perpendicular to the drive direction relative to the wall of the slide-out room.
Abstract:
An energized mounting bracket includes a bracket body with one or more cavities and a charge controller and one or more rechargeable batteries located in the one or more cavities. One or more solar panels can be mounted directly to the bracket body or mounted to a housing of an awning unit and the awning unit coupled to the mounting bracket. The one or more solar panels, the one or more rechargeable batteries, and the charge controller can be wired together to enable charging of the rechargeable batteries with the one or more solar panels. Power from the rechargeable batteries can power a motor mounted with the awning unit and optionally power DC outlets.
Abstract:
A lift mechanism (10) for an RV holds the elevation of a support member for a period of time after the operator releases the switch to give the operator time to secure the elevation by means of a pin (63).
