摘要： A card connector having a housing and connection terminals is disclosed. A card, provided with terminal members, is accommodated in the housing. Connection terminals attached to the housing are capable of coming into contact with the terminal members of the card. Each connection terminal is provided with a proximal end portion held in the housing, a flexible portion extending from the proximal end portion, and a distal end portion connected to an extreme end of the flexible portion. The flexible portion is shaped with a width large on a side of the proximal end portion and small on a side of the distal end portion. The housing has a ground plate arranged to correspond to at least an extent of the flexible portion.

A dielectric portion is formed on the capacitive-coupling surface of the second terminal so that when the receptacle and plug connector frames are fitted together, the capacitive-coupling surface of the first terminal and the capacitive-coupling surface of the second terminal oppose each other through intermediation of the dielectric portion.

摘要： A wire to board connector with a mating detection feature includes a male wire connector that is received by a female board connector. The housing of the wire connector has conductive portions disposed thereon by conductive plating or other means. The female receptacle connector is provided with one or more conductive strips, such as in the form of extensions of conductive fitting nails portions. These conductive portions extend widthwise of the connector and provide contact surfaces for the conductive portions of the wire connector to engage. The wire connector conductive portion may include raised members that positively contact the extensions of the fitting nails only when the wire connector is fully inserted into the female connector.

The plug portion has plug side contact conductors which are positioned separately from each other on a lower surface side of the plug portion. The base member has a plurality of slots that receive a corresponding number of conductive terminals (61). The terminals have two upward bends (68c) in them near their midpoint and these bends are spaced apart longitudinally along the terminals so as to mate with, exposed ends of the lengths of flat cable. Two projections (14) serve as press arms to retain a cover in place upon the base member. The cover exerts a pressure on the cable ends and the terminals to provide a reliable electrical contact between them.

In the plug portion, a central recess is formed, which extends downwardly within the body of the receptacle portion so that the electronic components are disposed at least partially within the central recess. The plug portion has, on its lower surface side, plug side contacts that serve as electrical contacts with a terminal of the receptacle portion, and has a protruding portion for engaging the connector receptacle portion. The plug side contacts and the protruding portion are positioned outside of the central recess higher than a bottom plate portion which forms a bottom of the central recess.
