Abstract:
The invention encompasses a novel process for making 2-[(8R)-8-(3,5-Difluorophenyl)-10-oxo-6,9-diazaspiro[4.5]dec-9-yl]-N-[(2R)-2'-oxo-1,1',2',3-tetrahydrospiro[indene-2,3'-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridin]-5-yl]acetamide, which is a CGRP receptor antagonist useful for the treatment of migraine, using an asymmetric phase-transfer catalysis route. The invention also encompasses an efficient and practical synthesis of the (R)-acid intermediate, and generates the benzylic stereocenter in an enantioselective manner.

Abstract:
A fast, texture morphing algorithm for real-time computer simulation and video games dynamically generates objects "on the fly" by simplifying and reducing the computational load required for a texture morphing/blending process. Incremental interpolation techniques compute a morh parameter based on previous value and morph change rate. Precomputed initial and incremental morph parameter values for each texel component are applied during real-time morphing procedures using integer arithmetic. Approximation errors are reduced by incrementing/decrementing by an extra integer value when the number of morph iterations is a multiple of a frame counter. The frame counter avoids over-runs, and the morphing procedure is "snapped" the texel value to the precise texture target value to prevent under-runs and corresponding artifacts. Interlacing (applying interpolation to a subset of the texels each frame) significantly reduces computational load without introducing significant image artifacts. The morph texture buffer data structure is initially decomposed off-line to reduce the number of real-time calculations required to manipulate texel component data.

Abstract:
The present invention disclosed is a method for screening metabolites essential for the growth of microorganism using metabolic flux analysis. More specifically, the present invention relates to the method for screening metabolites essential for the growth of microorganism, by selecting a target microorganism, constructing a metabolic network model of the selected microorganism, inactivating the consumption reaction of each of metabolites in the constructed metabolic network model, analyzing the metabolic flux of the metabolites to select metabolites essential for the growth of the microorganism, and confirming the selected metabolites using the utilization of each of the metabolites, defined as flux sum (Φ ). According to the present invention, metabolites essential for the growth of microorganism, and genes involved in the essential metabolites, can be screened in a convenient manner, and drug-target genes against pathogenic microorganisms can be predicted by deleting genes associated with the metabolites screened according to the method.
Abstract:
There are provided conjugates of Formula (V) wherein R1 is a triantennary targeting moiety comprising N-acetyl galactosamine and R2 is a bioactive agent which is preferably an oligonucleotide, as well as pharmaceutical compositions and methods of use of the conjugates for the treatment, inhibition, or prevention of diseases and disorders which are therapeutic targets of the bioactive agent. In preferred embodiments the conjugate preferentially binds to asiaglycoprotein receptors (ASGPR). In preferred embodiments, the oligonucleotide is SiRNA which targets the PCSK9 gene, providing treatment options for lipid disorders such as hyperlipidemia.
